''El Mundo'' (; ), before ''El Mundo del Siglo Veintiuno'', is the second largest printed daily newspaper in Spain. The paper is considered one of the country's newspapers of record along with '' El País and ABC.'' History and profile ''El Mundo'' was first published on 23 October 1989. Perhaps the best known of its founders was Pedro J. Ramírez, who served as editor until 2014. Ramirez had risen to prominence as a journalist during the Spanish transition to democracy. The other founders, Alfonso de Salas, Balbino Fraga and Juan González, shared with Ramírez a background in Grupo 16, the publishers of the newspaper ''Diario 16''. Manuel Broseta
Manuel Broseta Pont (13 October 1932 – 15 February 1992) was a Spanish academic and politician. He was a member of the Senate of Spain between 1979 and 1982 and he served as State Secretary for Autonomous Communities for the Union of the Democratic Centre (UCD) between 1980 and 1982. He was also a member of the Spanish Council of State. Broseta was assassinated by ETA members on 15 February 1992. Early life Broseta was born in Banyeres de Mariola in the Province of Alicante. He however moved to the city of Valencia at an early age and went to school there. His father, a member of the Republican Left was temporarily arrested when Spanish leader Francisco Franco visited Valencia. The incident had a lasting impact on Broseta, which made him value freedom and respect for others throughout the rest of his life. Bailén is a metro station of the Metrovalencia network in Valencia, Spain, in the southern part of the city centre. It is situated on Carrer de Bailén, north of the Gran Vía de Ramón y Cajal, directly southwest of Estació del Nord (Valencia), Estació del Nord. Ayora ( va, Aiora) is a municipality in the ''comarca'' of Valle de Ayora in the Valencian Community, Spain. It lies in the inland part of the Valencian Community on the border of the provinces of Albacete and Alicante. Metrovalencia is an urban rail system serving a large part of the metropolitan area of Valencia. The network is a modern amalgamation of former FEVE narrow gauge electric operated suburban railways. It is a large suburban network that crosses the city of Valencia, with all trains continuing out to the suburbs. It also has destinations on lines that make it more closely resemble commuter trains. The unique system combines light railway, metro and several tram operations north of the Túria riverbed park with line 4.
