Melbourne Victory FC is an Australian women's soccer team affiliated with Melbourne Victory FC and Football Federation Victoria. Founded in 2008, the team is one of the representatives of Melbourne in Australia's top-tier domestic competition – the A-League Women. Caitlin Friend
Caitlin Friend (born 10 November 1993) is an Australian football (soccer) striker who plays for Melbourne Victory. In January 2014, Friend agreed to join English FA WSL club Notts County after the Australian season had concluded. After the WSL 2014 season, the Australian striker returned to Australia to play for Melbourne Victory after a year with Notts County. Ella Mastrantonio (born 22 January 1992) is an Australian midfielder currently playing for SKN St. Pölten. She has previously played for Perth Glory, Melbourne Victory, Bristol City, Lazio, and Pomigliano. Club career Perth Glory and Melbourne Victory Mastrantonio made her professional debut for Perth Glory during the 2009 season. She then played for them and for Melbourne Victory over eight seasons, including winning the 2013–14 W-League championship with Melbourne Victory. Melissa Maizels (born 10 May 1993) is an Australian soccer goalkeeper who last played for Australian A-League Women team Melbourne Victory. She previously played for Perth Glory and Canberra United. Early life Maizels was born in Melbourne, Australia, and is Jewish. Her great, great, great-grandfather was the Chief Rabbi of Łódź. She began playing soccer at the age of nine. She represented Victoria four times for futsal and soccer, and competed in national tournaments at the Australian Institute of Sport (from which she earned her coaching UEFA B Licence) as well as in Canberra and Perth. Selin Kuralay (born 25 January 1985 in Melbourne, Australia) is an Australian soccer player of Turkish ancestry. She plays at national league level for Australian W-League team Melbourne Victory. Club career Junior football Kuralay took up football as a six-year-old, playing for North Coburg. She later played with Ringwood City and Box Hill United. Tal Karp (born 30 December 1981) is an Australian women's former Olympic soccer player who represented Australia as a member of the Matildas (the Australian Women's Football Team) and captained Melbourne Victory in the Australian W-League. After representing Australia in the 2003 FIFA Women's World Cup and the 2004 Athens Olympic Games, Karp retired from football to focus on a career in the law.
