Malay (; ms, Bahasa Melayu, links=no, Jawi alphabet, Jawi: , Rejang script, Rencong: ) is an Austronesian languages, Austronesian language that is an official language of Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore, and that is also spoken in East Timor and parts of the Philippines and Thailand. Altogether, it is spoken by 290 million people (around 260 million in Indonesia alone in its own literary standard named "Indonesian language, Indonesian") across Maritime Southeast Asia. Awesome TV
Awesome TV is a free-to-air Malaysian television channel owned by Awesome Media Network Sdn Bhd (via Awesome Broadcasting Sdn Bhd). The channel features first-run local original production and foreign content. Awesome TV started its trial broadcast on 28 July 2020 and full operation started on 1 August 2020. Awesome TV can be watched for free nationwide via myFreeview platform on Channel 112 and Astro on Channel 123. History Awesome TV is a digital television channel headquartered in Malaysia and being the first to officially commence broadcasting through the usage of digital encoding only via DVB-T2 set-top box for viewers in Malaysia. Viewers could watch this channel during trial broadcasting of this channel from 28 July 2020 at 12:00 pm to 3 August 2020 when it was finally launched. National Geographic Channel (Asia)
National Geographic (Nat Geo Asia, formerly NBC Asia and National Geographic Channel and also commercially abbreviated and trademarked as Nat Geo or Nat Geo TV) is a pan-Asian subscription television channel that features non-fiction, factual programming involving nature, science, culture and history, produced by the National Geographic Society, just like History and Discovery Channel. National Geographic Wild (shortened as Nat Geo Wild and abbreviated NGW) is a global pay television network owned by National Geographic Partners, a joint venture between The Walt Disney Company (73%) and the National Geographic Society (27%). The channel primarily focuses on wildlife and natural history non-fiction programming. It is a sister network to National Geographic TV. The channel first launched in Hong Kong on 1 January 2006. It later launched in the United Kingdom, Turkey, Ireland, Romania, India, Vietnam, and Poland replacing the now defunct Adventure One. Astro AWANI is a Malaysian news organisation that broadcasts its news via Channel 501 on Astro. It was originally launched on 1 May 1992 as MovieVision, later rebranding on 1 June 1995 to its current name after being purchased by Home Box Office, Inc. K-Plus (stylized as K+) is a Southeast Asian pay television channel focused on airing drama series, variety shows, movies and lifestyle programmes in K-pop, beauty & fashion as its main programming genre. It was launched on 17 September 2014 and it is available in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Philippines. It also offers select titles to OTT platforms iflix, LeEco and Tribe. K+ is based in Singapore and is owned by Plus Media Networks, a subsidiary of South Korea-based JJ MediaWorks. Sony One
ONE (formerly named Sony ONE) is a Southeast Asian pay television channel owned by KC Global Media Asia. It is available in Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei Darussalam and Indonesia. It was launched on 1 October 2010 at 21:00 SST (20:00 WIB). The channel's programming consists on Korean-language series and shows, provided by Seoul Broadcasting System (SBS). ONE's programming is available subtitled in local languages on optional subtitle tracks, depending on the country of reception's market. From October 2017, the contents provided were only available on Singapore and Malaysia until July 31, 2020. Astro Warna
Astro Warna is a 24-hour Malaysian television network in Malaysia. Launch On 1 June 2009, this channel airs local and international comedy programs. It is broadcast on the Astro satellite television platform as part of the Mustika Pack via Channel 132. Before launching Astro Warna, all local comedy programs were shown on either Astro Ria or Astro Prima. After launching Astro Warna, almost all local comedy programs shown on their existing Malay channels moved to Astro Warna, although some programs such as Raja Lawak Astro continued to be shown on Astro Prima for its fourth and fifth season, before moving to Astro Warna in its sixth season. Astro Citra is a 24-hour Malay language version of HBO Asia, showing the local and Asian movies. The channel began broadcasting on 1 June 2009, replacing Astro Kirana (Channel 122) which ceased its broadcasting on 18 May 2009 due to low viewership. Most of the movies are available in Malay and English subtitles.
