Gavril Atanasov
Gavril Atanasov ( bg, Гаврил Атанасов) (1863–1951) was a prominent Bulgarian icon painter in the 19th century from Berovo (Malesh region), in Ottoman Vardar Macedonia (present-day North Macedonia). His father was from Kruševo but moved to Berovo where Gavril was born in 1863. Gavril went to the Bulgarian school in Berovo. He painted around Berovo (Malesh region). Ordan Petlevski
Ordan Petlevski (24 January 1930, Prilep – 22 January 1997, Zagreb) was a prominent artist working in the media of painting, drawing, graphic arts and illustration. Education and career In the early 1950s, Petlevski came to study in Zagreb, where he remained for the rest of his life. In 1955, he graduated from the Academy of Applied Arts; then from 1955 to 1960, he was an associate of the Master workshop. In the early phase of his career (1954–1957), he painted stylized human figures, which he later replaced with surrealism, and later still with his own version of the informal art style with organic art forms. Vlado Goreski
Vlado Goreski – Rafik (Macedonian: Владо Ѓорески – Рафик) (born 21 April 1958, in Bitola) is a Macedonian and Slovenian graphic artist, artist, scenographer. He finished secondary school in Bitola, and he graduated at the Faculty of Philosophy – Skopje, Department History of Art at 1981. He has studied at the International Centre of Graphic Arts in Ljubljana, Slovenia. In 1980 he began to volunteer, and in 1981 he was employed as painter-artist at the National Theatre Bitola. In 1982 he was employed in Institute, Museum and Gallery in Bitola as curator of contemporary art. He had his first solo exhibition in 1981, and since then he is permanently present with solo and collective exhibitions in the country and abroad. Zarko Baseski
Zharko Basheski ( mk, Жарко Башески) (born 11 August 1957) is a Macedonian sculptor and professor in the Sculpture Department at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Skopje. His work falls under the hyperrealism movement, with a specific focus on the human body. Life and work Basheski was born on 11 August 1957 in Prilep, Republic of Macedonia, then part of SFR Yugoslavia. In 1988, he graduated at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Skopje in the class of Petar Hadzi Boskov. Ten years later, in 1998, he acquired his MFA degree at the same institution in the class of Dragan Popovski - Dada. He is member of DLUM (Macedonian Artists Association) since 1988. Rubens Korubin (born 1949 in Prilep) is an artist based in Skopje. Education and career Korubin graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade in 1974 and completed his postgraduate studies in the class of Mladen Srbinovic in 1976. Apostol Trpeski ( mk, Aпостол Трпески, 6 September 1948) is a Macedonian cinematographer. Biography Trpeski was born on September 6, 1948, in Tetovo, SFR Yugoslavia (today North Macedonia). He graduated from the Academy for theater, film and television art – Cinematography Department at the University of Zagreb, Croatia. Kiro Urdin
Kiro Urdin (Macedonian: Киро Урдин; born 1945 in Strumica, Macedonia) is a visual, multimedia artist and film director. He is the artistic founder of the Planetarism movement. He represented France at the French Festival in Tapei, and the Republic of Macedonia at the Thessaloniki - Culture Capital of Europe ’97 event in Greece. His ballet 'Planetarium' (with Debbie Wilson) and his film of the same name were performed at the United Nations 60th Anniversary. Kiril Cenevski
Kiril Cenevski ( mk, Кирил Ценевски; 28 January 1943 – 17 June 2019) was a Macedonian film director. Education and career Cenevski studied at the Faculty of Architecture and Civil Engineering in Skopje. He completed a graduate program in Motion Pictures and Television at the School of Cinema and Television, University of Southern California, USA. He began his career as an assistant director on television productions and documentaries in the late '60s. Cenevski made his feature-film debut as a director with 'Crno Seme'(Black Seed) in 1971. Though his subsequent filmography is sparse, Cenevski was active in theater and television. At one time, Cenevski chaired the Union of Macedonian Film Workers.
