List Of Game Boy Color Games
The list of Nintendo Game Boy Color games includes licensed releases from the platform's launch in 1998 to the final release in 2003. The last official release for the system was ''Doraemon no Study Boy: Kanji Yomikaki Master'', which was released in Japan on July 18, 2003. However, multiple unlicensed games (many of which are developed and distributed by fans) have been released since then. Additionally, there were several games which were developed and officially licensed, but were cancelled before release. Games were released under two classes of cartridges: Class A, "Dual Mode" cartridges compatible with Game Boy systems which predate the Game Boy Color. They feature the text "Yes" in the column indicating two versions of the game included on the cartridges. The backs of the boxes for such games are labeled "Compatible with Game Boy" and the cartridges of these games are typically molded in black to distinguish them from original Game Boy cartridges. Digital Eclipse
Digital Eclipse is an American video game developer based in Emeryville, California. Founded by Andrew Ayre in 1992, the company found success developing commercial emulations of arcade games for Game Boy Color. In 2003, the company merged with ImaginEngine and created Backbone Entertainment. A group of Digital Eclipse employees split off from Backbone to form Other Ocean Interactive, which, in 2015, bought and revived the Digital Eclipse brand. Among its staff is video game preservation specialist Frank Cifaldi. History Digital Eclipse was founded in 1992 by Andrew Ayre, Hans Kim, John Neil, and Howard Fukuda. ''1942'' is a vertically scrolling shooter game made by Capcom that was released for arcades in 1984. Designed by Yoshiki Okamoto, it was the first game in the ''194X'' series, and was followed by '' 1943: The Battle of Midway''. ''1942'' is set in the Pacific Theater of World War II, and is loosely based on the Battle of Midway. Despite the game being created by Japanese developers, the goal is to reach Tokyo and destroy the Japanese air fleet; this was due to being the first Capcom game designed with Western markets in mind. It went on to be a commercial success in arcades, becoming Japan's fifth highest-grossing table arcade game of 1986 and one of top five highest-grossing arcade conversion kits that year in the United States. Morning Star Multimedia was an American video game company founded in May 1995 by Dan Kitchen. It was acquired by the Telegen Corporation in 1996 as a wholly owned subsidiary. It was known for releasing ''Frogger'' for the Sega Genesis when Majesco rereleased the console in 1998 (known as the Genesis 3). Ten-pin bowling is a type of bowling in which a bowler rolls a bowling ball down a wood or synthetic lane toward ten pins positioned evenly in four rows in an equilateral triangle. The objective is to knock down all ten pins on the first roll of the ball (a strike), or failing that, on the second roll (a spare). An approximately long ''approach'' area used by the bowler to impart speed and apply rotation to the ball ends in a ''foul line''.
