List Of Earthdawn Books
A list of the English-language Earthdawn books with their Stock-keeping unit, SKU numbers. ''Earthdawn'' has also had German, French, Japanesand Polish editions. Earthdawn was created and published by FASA Corporation from 1993 to 1999. This is known as the First Edition. The license was subsequently picked up by three companies, the first two being Living Room Games, who published the Second Edition from 2001 to 2006, and RedBrick, who published a revised First Edition termed ''Earthdawn Classic'' from 2005 to 2008 and a Third Edition from 2009 until 2012. FASA Games Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of FASA Corporation, announced a Fourth Edition via Kickstarter in 2013, released in 2014. The third company to utilize the Earthdawn IP under license from FASA was Vagrant Workshop, who published the ''Age of Legend'' edition in 2016. ''Earthdawn'' is a fantasy role-playing game, originally produced by FASA in 1993. In 1999 it was licensed to Living Room Games, which produced the ''Second Edition''. It was licensed to RedBrick in 2003, who released the Classic Edition in 2005 and the game's Third Edition in 2009 (the latter through Mongoose Publishing's Flaming Cobra imprint). The license is now held by FASA Games, Inc. (from FASA), who have released the Fourth Edition, with updated mechanics and an advanced metaplot timeline. Vagrant Workshop released the ''Age of Legend'' edition in 2016 using alternative rules-lite mechanics. The game is similar to fantasy games like ''Dungeons & Dragons'', but draws more inspiration from games like ''RuneQuest''. The rules of the game are tightly bound to the underlying magical metaphysics, with the goal of creating a rich, logical fantasy world.
