Colgate University
Colgate University is a private liberal arts college in Hamilton, New York. The college was founded in 1819 as the Baptist Education Society of the State of New York and operated under that name until 1823, when it was renamed Hamilton Theological and Literary Institution, often called Hamilton College (1823–1846), then Madison College (1846–1890), and its present name since 1890. Colgate University is among the 100 most selective colleges and universities in the United States, and is considered a Hidden Ivy as well as one of the Little Ivies. ''Club Dread'' (also known as ''Broken Lizard's Club Dread'') is a 2004 comedy slasher film directed by Jay Chandrasekhar and written by and starring the comedy troupe Broken Lizard, Chandrasekhar, Kevin Heffernan, Steve Lemme, Paul Soter, Erik Stolhanske, Brittany Daniel, and Bill Paxton. Kevin Heffernan (comedian)
Kevin Heffernan (born May 25, 1968) is an American actor, writer, producer, and director, and member of the Broken Lizard comedy group. Life and career Heffernan was born in West Haven, Connecticut. His mother, Catheryn Jane (née Eiby), is the West Haven treasurer, and his father, Eugene Michael Heffernan, worked as a probate judge. His paternal grandfather, William J. Heffernan, was mayor of West Haven. Heffernan is a graduate of Fairfield College Preparatory School and later Colgate University, the latter where he was a part of comedy group Charred Goosebeak with other members of the Beta Theta Pi fraternity. This group would stay together outside college, and become the group Broken Lizard. Heffernan is a graduate of Brooklyn Law School, and passed the Connecticut bar exam, but does not practice law. Alison Lynne Fields (born August 1, 1979) is an American art historian and educator. Fields is currently the Mary Lou Milner Carver Professor of Art of the American West at University of Oklahoma. Career Fields received a Bachelor of Arts in English and Native American Studies from Colgate University in 2001. There, she was part of the Student Government Association. Fields then proceeded to receive a Master of Arts in American Civilization from Brown University in 2003, and a Doctor of Philosophy in American Studies from the University of New Mexico in 2009.
