George Field (actor)
George Field (March 18, 1877 – March 9, 1925) was an American silent film actor. Early life Born George Blankman Field to George Durgin Field and Elizabeth Blankman. Elizabeth was the daughter of dentist and attorney Dr. Henry Gerrit Blankman, born 3 May 1813 in Amsterdam, North Holland. He came to San Francisco from New York in June 1849. Elizabeth's mother was Magdelena del Valle, the niece and ward of the famous Mexican General Mariano de Vallejo and his brother Jose de Jesus de Vallejo. Career George began his career as a stage actor in the popular San Francisco theatre scene but was signed into film in 1912 and starred in 207 films until 1924. He also had a bit part in "Don Q Son of Zorro", where he was named as George Blankman. George and Winifred Greenwood worked at Flying A Studios in Santa Barbara. Vivian Rich
Vivian Rich (May 26, 1893 – November 17, 1957) was an American silent film actress. Career Rich was born in Philadelphia and spent her early years there. Later the family moved to Boston and she completed her education at the Boston Latin High School. From high school she went to the stage and played in musical comedy before joining the American film company. She lived with her mother in Santa Barbara, California. She was signed by the Nestor Film Company in 1912 and starred in almost 200 films. Rich retired from films in 1931. Louise Lester
Louise Lester (August 8, 1867 – November 18, 1952) was an American silent film actress. She was the first female star of Western films. Biography Lester was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on August 8, 1867. In 1884, Lester headed the Louise Lester Opera Company. Lester made her debut in movies as a member of the Flying A Company in Santa Barbara, California after a career on stage. She starred in over 150 films before her retirement in 1935. Lester is most famous for starring as Calamity Anne in a series of films based around the character. She also starred with William Garwood in films such as '' The Oath of Pierre''. The actress' married name was Louise Lester Beal. She was the widow of Frank Beal, a film director. She was also married to actor Jack Richardson. Lorimer Johnston (November 2, 1858 in Maysville, Kentucky – February 20, 1941 in Hollywood, California) was an American silent film actor and director. He was involved in the production of over 60 films in acting and directing and he also wrote the scripts for twelve films, according to IMDb, nearly all shorts. In 1913, Johnston directed the short films '' For the Crown'' and '' For the Flag'', working with actresses such as Charlotte Burton. Edna Mayo
Edna Mayo (born Edna Lane; March 23, 1895 – May 5, 1970) was an American film actress of the silent film era. Biography Mayo was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and spent time as a stage actress before moving to Hollywood in 1914 to pursue an acting career. That year she received her first role, in the film ''Michael Arnold and Doctor Lynn'' opposite Robert Z. Leonard. Following that film. In 1914 and 1915 she would star in twenty two films. Mayo wrote an article for Picture-Play Weekly in 1915 on the differences of using makeup for stage and film. In 1916 she appeared in only four films. It was over a year before she received another role, playing the female lead in ''Hearts of Love'' in 1918. It was her last film and she retired from acting. She eventually settled in San Francisco, California, where she was residing at the time of her death on May 5, 1970.
