Beech Fork Lake is a 720 acre (2.9 km2) reservoir located near Lavalette, West Virginia, Lavalette in Wayne County, West Virginia, Wayne County, West Virginia, United States. Millers Fork and Stowers Branch join Beech Fork with their own river valleys contributing to the majority of the lakesurface of Beech Fork Lake. Lincoln County is a county in the U.S. state of West Virginia. As of the 2020 census, the population was 20,463. Its county seat is Hamlin. The county was created in 1867 and named for Abraham Lincoln. Lincoln County is part of the Huntington-Ashland, WV-KY-OH Metropolitan Statistical Area. Big Ugly Wildlife Management Area
Big Ugly Wildlife Management Area is located on near Logan in Lincoln County, West Virginia. The Big Ugly's steep terrain is covered with mixed hardwoods second growth woodlands. Camping is not allowed at Big Ugly WMA, but is available at nearby Chief Logan State Park. Directions From West Hamlin in Lincoln County, follow County Route 100 south to County Route 7. Turn north on County Route 7 (Greenshoal Road) to the community of Leet. At Leet, turn onto Laurel Fork Road and continue about to the Big Ugly WMA. Webster County is a county in the U.S. state of West Virginia. As of the 2020 census, the population was 8,378. Its county seat is Webster Springs. The county was founded in 1860 and named for Daniel Webster. History Webster County was formed from parts of Nicholas, Braxton, and Randolph counties in Virginia through the approval of an act of the Virginia General Assembly during its 1859-1860 session. Movement toward the formation of this county began in 1851. Webster became part of West Virginia on June 20, 1863. When the state was formed, each county was divided into multiple civil townships, with the intention of encouraging local government. This proved impractical in the heavily rural state, so in 1872 the townships were converted into magisterial districts.
