Fédération Internationale De Motocyclisme
The Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM; en, International Motorcycling Federation) is the global governing/sanctioning body of motorcycle racing. It represents 116 national motorcycle federations that are divided into six regional continental unions. There are seven motorcycle-racing disciplines that FIM covers, encompassing 82 world championships as well as hundreds of secondary championships: enduro, trial, circuit racing, motocross and supermoto, cross-country, e-bike, and track racing. FIM is also involved in many non-racing activities that promote the sport, its safety, and support relevant public policy. The FIM is also the first international sporting federation to publish an Environmental Code, in 1994. In 2007, a Commission for Women in Motorcycling was created by the FIM in order to promote the use of powered two-wheelers and the motorcycle sport among women. Troy Batchelor
Troy Matthew Batchelor (born 29 August 1987) is an Australian speedway rider. Career Australia Born in Brisbane, Queensland, Troy Batchelor enjoyed his first success when he won the 2001 Queensland and New South Wales Under-16 championships and followed this up by winning the 2003 Australian Under-16 Championship at the Bibra Lake Speedway in Perth. After graduating to the senior ranks following his 16th birthday, Batchelor won the Queensland State Championship in 2007 before he moved to Adelaide in South Australia where he has won the South Australian Championship at the Gillman Speedway five times (2008-2011, 2013). He currently sits all time second on the SA title winners list behind joint record holders John Boulger and the 1951 and 1952 World Champion Jack Young. Hans Clausen (born 2 July 1971) is a former international motorcycle speedway rider from Denmark. Career He rode in 2001 Speedway Grand Prix of Denmark and 2001 Speedway World Cup. Clausen won Individual Speedway Danish Championship in 2001. Since 2006 Hans Clausen is the team manager and chief mechanic of Danish Renault Clio Cup team, DanAgro Racing. Krzysztof Cegielski
Krzysztof Cegielski (born 3 September 1979 in Poland) is a former Polish speedway rider who was a permanent Speedway Grand Prix rider in 2002 and 2003 season. In 2003 he was involved in an on-track crash in a Swedish League. The resulting spinal cord injury left him partially paralysed, and ended his racing career. He has remained close to the speedway world, acting as a speedway manager and expert. After over a decade of determined and laborious rehabilitation, he managed to get back on his feet, and is now able to walk short distances. Armando Castagna
Armando Castagna (born 22 September 1963) is a former Italian international motorcycle speedway rider. He was born in Arzignano, and was a member of the Italy national team and has represented them in several World Team Cup competitions. He is a record 12 times Italian Champion. Career He rode in the United Kingdom for the Ipswich Witches and Oxford Cheetahs but he spent the majority of his career with the Reading Racers where he won the British League title twice. He has ridden in the Speedway Grand Prix series and has reached five Speedway World Championship finals. On 26 July 1997 he won the Continental Final, which formed part of the 1998 Speedway Grand Prix Qualification. He won the Italian National Championship a record twelve times and in 1999, he won the Argentine Championship. Mattia Carpanese
Mattia Carpanese born (5 November 1985 in Padova, Italy) is a speedway rider who in 2007 rode in the UK for the Workington Comets who compete in the Premier League, and for the Birmingham Brummies in 2008. Carpanese finished runner-up in the Italian Championship in 2005. He was selected as a wild card for the 2006 and 2007 Italian Speedway Grand Prix. He quit the Comets after a string of injuries on 30 August 2007. On 20 April 2008 it was announced that Carpanese had been signed by Birmingham Brummies as a short term replacement for injured rider James Birkinshaw but was released after twenty eight days. Jason Bunyan
Jason Michael Bunyan (born 9 March 1979 in Milton Keynes) is a former England under-21 international motorcycle speedway rider from England. He is a ten times champion of New Zealand. Racing career He won the New Zealand Championship from 2004 to 2006, 2008 to 2010, 2012 to 2014 and 2016. The ten wins broke the previous record of nine wins held by Larry Ross. Bunyan began his British leagues career when signing for Poole Pirates for the 1995 Premier League speedway season. After a season with Oxford Cheetahs he moved to join the Isle of Wight Islanders from 1997 to 1998. He spent three seasons with Ipswich Witches from 1999 to 2001 and two seasons with Coventry from 2003 to 2004 before turning his attention to New Zealand after every British season. In 2007, he captained the Isle of Wight Islanders to the Premier League Fours Championship and partnered Chris Holder to the Premier League Pairs title. Craig Boyce
Craig Boyce (born 2 August 1967 in Sydney, Australia) was a motorcycle speedway rider who primarily rode for the Poole Pirates in the British Elite League. After retiring from riding, Boyce became manager of the Australian national team until 2012. Boyce is a three-time Australian Solo Champion. He won all of his championships (1991, 1996 and 1997) with a 15-point maximum. Career Australia Craig Boyce started riding at the now defunct Liverpool Speedway in western Sydney during the mid-1980s and established himself as one of not only the most promising young riders from New South Wales, but in Australia, finishing third in the 1988 Australian Under-21 Championship.
