''Lejontämjaren'' (''The Lion Tamer'') is a Swedish film which was released to cinemas in Sweden on 7 February 2003, directed by Manne Lindwall. Plot Simon is 9 years old and at school he's mobbed by an 11-year-old boy and his gang. Simon dreams that he tames a lion which helps him with scaring the bad boy who Simon calls "Kobran" ("''The Cobra''"). One night Simon sees a naked man with briefs on his head and hears his mother's laugh in the background. The next morning Karin tells Simon that she had a friend at home during the night. In school during the lunch time he tells his mate Tove about his mother and the "briefs-man" whose real name is Björn. At same time "Kobran" and his gang come to their table; he requests Simon to go and get milk and when Simon does it he spits in Simon's food. The Swedish Film Institute ( sv, Svenska Filminstitutet) was founded in 1963 to support and develop the Swedish film industry. The institute is housed in the ''Filmhuset'' building located in Gärdet, Östermalm in Stockholm. The building, completed in 1970, was designed by architect Peter Celsing. Function The Swedish Film Institute supports Swedish filmmaking and allocates grants for production, distribution and public showing of Swedish films in Sweden. It also promotes Swedish cinema internationally. Furthermore, the Institute organises the annual Guldbagge Awards. The Swedish Film Database is published by the institute. Through the Swedish Film Agreement, between the Swedish state and the film and media industry, the Government of Sweden, the TV companies which were party to the agreement, and Sweden's cinema owners jointly fund the Film Institute and thus, indirectly, Swedish filmmaking. Plot The story begins with a suicide attempt by Petar Petrović, a Serbian worker in Sweden. Peter plays the lottery for years and finally managed to win it and bought a house by the sea. Unfortunately, war broke out and his house was seized, as according to him, more than enough to convince him of suicide. Solna Municipality ( sv, Solna kommun or , ) is a municipality in Stockholm County in Sweden, located just north of Stockholm City Centre.
