Elizabeth Ann Francis (born 1960), known as Lisa Francis, is a former member of the National Assembly for Wales for the Welsh Conservative Party in the Mid and West Wales region. The region covers the areas of Powys, Pembrokeshire, Ceredigion, Camarthenshire and Gwynedd; Francis represented the region from 2003 to 2007. Mid And West Wales (National Assembly For Wales Electoral Region)
Mid and West Wales () is an electoral region of the Senedd, consisting of eight constituencies. The region elects twelve members, eight directly elected constituency members and four additional members. The electoral region was first used in the 1999 Welsh Assembly election, when the National Assembly for Wales was created. Each constituency elects one Member of the Senedd by the first past the post electoral system, and the region as a whole elects four additional or top-up Members of the Senedd, to create a degree of proportional representation. The additional member seats are allocated from closed lists by the D'Hondt method, with constituency results being taken into account in the allocation. Elizabeth Joyce Watson (born 1955) is a Welsh Labour politician who has been a Member of the Senedd (MS) for Mid and West Wales since 2007. Career Watson was educated at Manorbier School, Cosheston School and Cardigan Comprehensive before going on to Pembrokeshire College in 1990. In 1993, she studied politics at Swansea University, later gaining an honours degree at the same time as running Labour's successful parliamentary campaign for Preseli Pembrokeshire. Aberystwyth () is a university and seaside town as well as a community in Ceredigion, Wales. Located in the historic county of Cardiganshire, means "the mouth of the Ystwyth".
