Lionel Booth
Lionel O. Booth (12 June 1914 – 31 May 1997) was an Irish Fianna Fáil politician and businessman. He was a Teachta Dála (TD) for twelve years, from 1957 to 1969. He was educated at Wesley College, Dublin, The Leys School, Cambridge, and Trinity College Dublin. He qualified as a solicitor in 1938 and served as a captain in the Army during the Emergency. He first entered politics in the 1950s serving on both Dublin County Council and Dún Laoghaire Corporation. The Irish ( ga, Muintir na hÉireann or ''Na hÉireannaigh'') are an ethnic group and nation native to the island of Ireland, who share a common history and culture. Dáil Éireann ( , ; ) is the lower house, and principal chamber, of the Oireachtas (Irish legislature), which also includes the President of Ireland and Seanad Éireann (the upper house).Article 15.1.2º of the Constitution of Ireland reads: "The Oireachtas shall consist of the President and two Houses, viz.: a House of Representatives to be called Dáil Éireann and a Senate to be called Seanad Éireann."
