Alexander Bryce Linwood (13 March 1920 – 26 October 2003) was a Scottish association football, footballer who played for St Mirren F.C., St Mirren, Middlesbrough F.C., Middlesbrough, Hibernian F.C., Hibernian, Clyde F.C., Clyde, Greenock Morton F.C., Greenock Morton and the Scotland national football team, Scotland national team. Career Born in the tiny Coal mining, mining settlement of Drumsmudden, near Drongan in Ayrshire, Linwood began working in the mines at the age of 14. He played schools and juvenile football before joining the newly formed Muirkirk F.C., Muirkirk Juniors in 1938. Linwood signed for St Mirren F.C., St Mirren the same year, however on the outbreak of World War II, the player was forced to resume his mining career for the war effort. Elliott Linwood (born July 14, 1956) is an American conceptual artist known for his large-scale photo grids and cross-referencing sculptural installations. He is based in San Diego, California. Early life, career and education Linwood was born July 14, 1956, in Lowell and attended Billerica Memorial High School in Massachusetts before moving to New York City when he was nineteen. He came out as a gay man just before the AIDS epidemic struck. Testing positive for the HIV virus in the early 1980s led him to a life of activism around this condition. Mary Linwood (1755–1845) was an English needle woman who exhibited her worsted embroidery or crewel embroidery in Leicester and London, and was the school mistress of a private school later known as Mary Linwood Comprehensive School. In 1790, she received a medal from the Society of Arts. Paul Anthony Linwood (born 24 October 1983) is an English former professional footballer who played as a central defender. He has previously played professionally in the Football League for Tranmere Rovers, Wrexham, Chester City and Grimsby Town and in the Cymru Premier for Connah's Quay Nomads. Linwood Earl Briley
Linwood Earl Briley, James Dyral Briley Jr., and Anthony Ray Briley were a sibling trio of serial/spree killers, rapists, and robbers who were responsible for a murder and robbery spree that took place in Richmond, Virginia, in 1979. Linwood murdered a woman in 1971 and served a year in a reformatory. In 1979, the three siblings (with help from an accomplice, Duncan Eric Meekins) went on a killing spree in their home city of Richmond, killing at least eleven people. Two would-be victims escaped unharmed. Linwood and James were sentenced to death. In 1984, the two elder brothers escaped death row with four other inmates but were recaptured within three weeks. Linwood Leon Clark (March 21, 1876 – November 18, 1965) was a U.S. representative who represented the second Congressional district of the state of Maryland from 1929 to 1931. Biography Clark was born in Aberdeen, Maryland, and attended the public schools as a youth.
