Line D2 (Moscow Central Diameters)
D2 (russian: МЦД-2) or Kursko–Rizhsky Diameter (russian: Курско–Рижский диаметр) is the second of the Moscow Central Diameters, a suburban network in Moscow which uses the existing infrastructure of Moscow Railway and provides a regular connection between Moscow and surrounding cities. MCD-2 runs from Nakhabino via Krasnogorsk and Moscow to Podolsk. The line was opened on 21 November 2019, at the same day as D1. Kursky Railway Terminal
Kursky railway terminal (russian: Ку́рский вокза́л, ''Kursky vokzal''), also known as Moscow Kurskaya railway station (russian: Москва́-Ку́рская, ''Moskva-Kurskaya''), is one of the ten railway terminals in Moscow. It was built in 1896, and renovated (without major design changes) in 1938, then a large glass facade and modern roof was added in a 1972 expansion. In 2008, there were plans to completely rebuild or refurbish the station. Kursky station, unlike most Moscow terminals, operates two almost opposite railroad directions from Moscow: one toward Kursk, Russia, after which the station is named, that stretches on into Ukraine, and another toward Nizhniy Novgorod, which is less used by long-distance trains, and is mostly for the high-speed service to Nizhniy. Moscow Rizhsky Railway Station
Rizhsky station (russian: Рижский вокзал, ''Rizhsky vokzal'', Riga station) is one of the nine main railway stations in Moscow, Russia. It was built in 1901. As well as being an active station it also houses the Moscow Railway Museum. The station is operated by the Moscow Railway. Maryina Roshcha (russian: Марьина роща) is a Moscow Metro station of Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya line. It opened on 19 June 2010 and, until 2016, was the northern terminus of the line. The station is in the Maryina Roshcha District of Moscow, north of downtown.
