Line 4 (São Paulo Metro)
Line 4 (Yellow) ( pt, Linha 4–Amarela) is one of the six lines that make up the São Paulo Metro and one of the thirteen lines that make up the São Paulo Metropolitan Rail Transportation Network. Originally called Southeast-Southwest Line, the line goes from Vila Sônia to Luz and currently has 11 stations along its and transports around 800,000 users/day. It is one of the most modern subway lines in Latin America and the first line in the region to utilize driverless trains and platform screen doors in all stations. Due to fiscal constraints, the construction of the line was divided into two phases: The phase one was completed in 2011 and the phase two was partially inaugurated between 2014 and 2018 and was fully completed by 2021. Communication-based Train Control
Communications-based train control (CBTC) is a railway signaling system that uses telecommunications between the train and track equipment for traffic management and infrastructure control. CBTC allows a train's position to be known more accurately than with traditional signaling systems. This makes railway traffic management safer and more efficient. Celso Pitta
Celso Roberto Pitta do Nascimento (; 1946–2009) was a Brazilian economist and politician. He had a Bachelor in Economics by Fluminense Federal University, master in Economics by University of Leeds and specialist in Advanced Administration by Harvard University. Mayor Pitta was the second Afro-Brazilian mayor of São Paulo, after Paulo Lauro. Elected as mayor from 1997 to 2000, he succeeded Paulo Maluf, under whom he was Municipal Secretary of Finance. Pitta was a member of the PPB party at that time, and faced corruption allegations like his predecessor, most notoriously with accusations coming from his ex-wife, Nicéa Camargo. On May 26, 2000, he was ousted from office by a decision of the São Paulo State Supreme Court, and Vice Mayor Régis de Oliveira succeeded to the mayoralty. Expresso Tiradentes
Expresso Tiradentes is the bus rapid transit (BRT) system in São Paulo, Brazil. It is a mid-capacity transportation system that began construction in mid- 1997, under the name of ''Fura-Fila''. During the administration of Mayor Marta Suplicy, in mid- 2001, the name was changed to ''Paulistão''.
