Line 16 () of the Shenzhen Metro is a metro line in north-eastern Shenzhen. It was opened on 28 December 2022. It runs from Universiade station, Universiade in Longgang District to Tianxin in Pingshan District. It operates 24 stations and the line is 29.2 kilometers long. Stations Phase 2 (South extension) * The under construction Phase 2 of Line 16 will add 8 stations south of to Xi-keng, and will open in 2025. The line is 9.53 km in length. References

Pingshanwei station () is an interchange station for Line 14 and Line 16 of the Shenzhen Metro. It is located in Pingshan District. Line 14 platforms is opened on 28 October 2022 and Line 16 platforms opened on 28 December 2022. History In July 2017, the National Development and Reform Commission of the People's Republic of China approved the Fourth Phase Construction Plan of Shenzhen Urban Rail Transit (2017-2022). Shenzhen Metro Line 14 and Shenzhen Metro Line 16 were approved for construction, of which Pingshanwei Station is a transfer station for two lines. In December 2018, the station floor of Pingshanwei Station Line 16 entered the main structure construction stage. Pingshan District, Shenzhen
Pingshan District is a district of Shenzhen, Guangdong. History Pingshan was established as a New District on June 30, 2009 by the Shenzhen municipal government. This new district superseded the old plan which was initiated back in 1994 and began construction in 1997. It was still part of Longgang District in administrative management. On October 11, 2016, Pingshan was officially separated from Longgang to become a district itself. Located southwest of the Huanping community in Pingshan New District, the Dawan Ancestral Residence is one of the biggest Hakka buildings in China. It was built by the Zeng family in 1791 during the reign of the Qianlong Emperor in the Qing dynasty.

Shenzhen Pingshan railway station () is a high-speed railway station on the Xiamen-Shenzhen Railway.The station is located in the Pingshan District of Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province, China. The station opened to the public on 28 December 2013. Name It was originally designated as Shenzhen East railway station in initial government announcements. However this former name has now been used to rename Buji railway station as of December 2012. In February 2013, the name of Shenzhen Xincheng Station was adopted by the local railway bureau, however this was dismissed by national railway authorities in October 2013.
