Lina Loh
Lina Loh Woon Lee ( zh, s=罗文丽, p=Luó Wénlì; born 1949), also known as Lina Chiam, is a Singaporean former politician. She was previously a Non-Constituency Member of Parliament between 2011 and 2015 and was the committee member of Singapore People's Party since 2019. A former member of the opposition Singapore People's Party (SPP), she contested in the 2011 and 2015 generel election in Potong Pasir SMC, but lost to the governing People's Action Party's Sitoh Yih Pin in both elections. Political career 2011 general election Loh formally entered politics during the 2011 general election when she contested as a SPP candidate in Potong Pasir SMC. Loh ultimately lost to the PAP candidate Sitoh Yih Pin by a narrow margin of 114 votes (0.72%), garnering 49.64% of the vote against Sitoh's 50.36%. Luo (surname)
Luo or Lo refers to the Mandarin romanizations of the Chinese surnames 羅 (Simplified Chinese: 罗, pinyin: Luó, Jyutping: Lo4) and 駱 (Simplified Chinese: 骆, pinyin: Luò, Jyutping: Lok3). People's Action Party
The People's Action Party (abbreviation: PAP) is a major conservative centre-right political party in Singapore and is one of the three contemporary political parties represented in Parliament, alongside the opposition Workers' Party (WP) and Progress Singapore Party (PSP). Initially founded as a traditional centre-left party in 1954, the leftist faction was soon expelled from the party in 1961 by Lee Kuan Yew in the midst of Singapore's merger with Malaysia, desiring to move the party's ideology towards the centre after its first electoral victory in 1959. Gerald Giam Yean Song ( zh, s=严燕松, p=Yán Yànsōng; born 1977) is a Singaporean politician. A member of the opposition Workers' Party (Singapore), Workers' Party (WP), he has been the 14th Parliament of Singapore, Member of Parliament (MP) representing the Bedok Reservoir–Punggol division of Aljunied Group Representation Constituency, Aljunied GRC since 2020. Yee Jenn Jong (; born 24 March 1965) is a Singaporean politician and a member of the Workers' Party. He is a Non-constituency Member of Parliament (NCMP) of the 12th Parliament of Singapore from 2011 to 2015. The Royal London Hospital is a large teaching hospital in Whitechapel in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. It is part of Barts Health NHS Trust. It provides district general hospital services for the City of London and Tower Hamlets and specialist tertiary care services for patients from across London and elsewhere. The Arts House
The Arts House (formerly the Old Parliament House) is a multi-disciplinary arts venue in Singapore. The venue plays host to art exhibitions and concerts. Built in 1827, the Old Parliament House is the oldest government building and perhaps the oldest surviving building in Singapore. 2020 Singaporean General Election
General elections were held in Singapore on Friday, 10 July 2020 to elect 93 members to the Parliament of Singapore across 31 constituencies.
