Ligunga
Ligunga is a town in southern Tanzania near the border with Mozambique. Transport In October 2007, it was proposed to railway to Ligunga to Mlimba and from Ligunga via Mchuchuma to Mbamba Bay on Lake Malawi. Access Liganga lies in a gap in the mountains that provides better than average access to Lake Malawi. This gap follows the course of the Ruvuma River, which forms the border between Tanzania and Mozambique. Mlimba is a town in central Tanzania on the plains. Mchuchuma
Mchuchuma in south western Tanzania near Ludewa off the northern tip of Lake Nyasa, is the site of major coal deposits. There is also a thermal power station costing$612m. Ruvuma River
Ruvuma River, formerly also known as the Rovuma River, is a river in the African Great Lakes region. During the greater part of its course, it forms the border between Tanzania and Mozambique (in Mozambique known as ''Rio Rovuma''). The river is long, with a drainage basin of in size. Its mean annual discharge is at its mouth. Overview The lower Ruvuma river is formed by the junction at of two branches of nearly equal importance, the longer of which, the Lujenda, comes from the south-west, the other, which still bears the name Ruvuma, from the west.
