Lights Poxleitner-Bokan (born Valerie Anne Poxleitner; April 11, 1987), known mononymously as Lights (previously stylized as LIGHTS), is a Canadian musician, singer, and songwriter. She is known for singles "Drive My Soul", "February Air", "Ice", "Second Go", "Toes", "My Boots" and "Up We Go", which have charted within the top ninety on the Canadian Hot 100. Her work has earned multiple Juno Awards and Canadian Independent Music Awards. Her debut EP ''Lights'' was released in July 2008 and achieved commercial success which enabled the release of her first full-length album, '' The Listening'', on September 22, 2009. Her second album, ''Siberia'', was released on October 4, 2011. Both albums have been certified gold in Canada. Timmins
Timmins ( ) is a city in northeastern Ontario, Canada, located on the Mattagami River. The city is the fourth-largest city in the Northeastern Ontario region with a population of 41,145 (2021). The city's economy is based on natural resource extraction, and is supported by industries related to lumbering, and to the mining of gold, zinc, copper, nickel and silver. Garrett Falls Lockhart (May 16, 1990 – November 23, 2020), known professionally by his stage name i_o, was an American electronic dance music DJ and record producer. Early life Garret Falls Lockhart was born on May 16, 1990, in Richmond, Virginia, and attended St. Stephen's Episcopal School in Austin, Texas. After graduating high school he attended George Washington University in Washington, D.C. While in college he began learning to DJ and had his first gig sophomore year. During college he built up a following performing under the name 'Glock' (a portmanteau of his name) at local clubs like Lima and the Sweet Spot. In 2013 Lockhart moved to Los Angeles to attend the Icon Collective music production school in Burbank, California. In this post Icon Collective time he was using the alias 'Fawks'. The Canadian Hot 100 is a music industry record chart in Canada for songs, published weekly by '' Billboard'' magazine. The Canadian Hot 100 was launched on the issue dated March 31, 2007, and is currently the standard record chart in Canada; a new chart is compiled and officially released to the public by ''Billboard'' on Tuesdays but post-dated to the following Saturday. "Ice" is a song by Canadian singer-songwriter Lights from her debut self-titled EP and debut album '' The Listening''. It was originally released in April as a single for her EP. A remastered version of the song was featured on her debut album, and later released as a single on October 12, 2009. Background "Ice" is driven by a new wave synth line and includes a keyboard solo.
