Liga ASOBAL 2011–12
The Liga ASOBAL 2011–12 was the 22nd season since its establishment. Barcelona Intersport are the defending champions. The campaign began on Friday, 9 September 2011. The last matchday was played on Saturday, 2 June 2012. A total of 16 teams contested the league, 14 of which had already contested in the 2010–11 season, and two of which were promoted from the División de Plata 2010–11. Barcelona Borges won their eleventh ASOBAL title. BM Ciudad Encantada
Rebi Balonmano Cuenca is a team of handball based in Cuenca, Spain. It plays in Liga ASOBAL. History Balonmano Ciudad Encantada was established in 1989 when acquired the TNT Uniexpress's seat, a team from San Sebastián de los Reyes, Madrid, relocating the team to Cuenca and renaming it as ''Madrid-Cuenca''. Since then, the team has undergone several name changes. Since 2008, they have been playing continuously in the first division, Liga ASOBAL. The team finished fifth in 2018 and qualified for a European cup, the EHF Cup, for the first time. The team reached the final of the Copa del Rey in 2019 and the final of the Supercopa ASOBAL in 2020. The Palacio Vistalegre is a multipurpose arena located in Madrid, Spain. It was built on the site of the former bullring, "Plaza de toros de Vista Alegre", built in 1906 and demolished in 1995. Abanca Ademar León is a Spanish handball team based in León, Spain. It plays in Liga ASOBAL. History Founded in 1956, Ademar León is the handball team of the city of León. Until 1975 it played in the provincial categories when not existing economic availability to be able to promotion. In that year the team promoted to 1ª División Nacional (being player of the team the currently chairman, Juan Arias). SDC San Antonio
Sociedad Deportiva Cultural San Antonio was a Spanish handball team based in Pamplona, Navarra. The team was based in Spain. In July 2012, the team resigned from the Liga ASOBAL for the 2012–13 season due to the failure to find a new sponsor, being demoted two divisions (to Primera Estatal). After an uncertain few weeks, its spot in Primera Estatal was transferred to BM Ardoi, therefore, the club no longer owned any sporting team. In April 2013, when the bankruptcy process finished, SDC San Antonio was officially liquidated.SDC San Antonio dissolved due to 2.800.000€ debt

Club Balonmano Valladolid was a Spanish handball team based in Valladolid, Castilla and León. History Club Balonmano Valladolid was founded in the 1991 summer when acquired the ACD Michelin' seat.
