The Liga ASOBAL 2004–05 season was the 15th season since its establishment. A total of 16 teams competed that season for the championship. Competition format This season, the competition was played in a round-robin format, through 30 rounds. The team with most points earned wins the championship. The last two teams were relegated. Liga ASOBAL
Liga Asobal is the premier professional handball league in Spain. It was founded in 1958 with the name of División de Honor, changing its name to the current name in 1990. The Liga ASOBAL, which is played under EHF rules, currently consists of 16 teams, including famous ones like FC Barcelona, Ademar León, Bidasoa and Granollers. CB Cantabria
Club Balonmano Cantabria was a team of handball based in Santander, Cantabria. CB Cantabria was not registered in any handball league after 2008. History Balonmano Cantabria was founded in 1975 when bought the seat of CB La Salle Authi from Los Corrales de Buelna. La Salle Authi was for a long time sponsored by Authi. From 1972–73 season to 1974–75 season, La Salle Authi played in Primera División (2nd tier). SDC San Antonio
Sociedad Deportiva Cultural San Antonio was a Spanish handball team based in Pamplona, Navarra. The team was based in Spain. In July 2012, the team resigned from the Liga ASOBAL for the 2012–13 season due to the failure to find a new sponsor, being demoted two divisions (to Primera Estatal). After an uncertain few weeks, its spot in Primera Estatal was transferred to BM Ardoi, therefore, the club no longer owned any sporting team. In April 2013, when the bankruptcy process finished, SDC San Antonio was officially liquidated.SDC San Antonio dissolved due to 2.800.000€ debt

Balonmano Altea was a handball team based in Altea, Alicante, Spain. The last season, (2007–08) the team played in 1ª Nacional. History *Founded in September 1974. The Balonmano Altea has teams in all categories of Spanish Handball. The President of the Balonmano Altea from season 96/97 is Mr. Paschal Moragues, who already I had this position from season 74/75 to 86/87. Paschal Moragues was the first President of the BM Altea. In season 96/97 the team win the promotion to the Liga ASOBAL (Asobal League) when winning in the Playoff to the BM Barakaldo.
