Lidija Pozaić Frketić
Lidija Pozaić Frketić of Croatia (born 23 September 1974) is one of 12 elected volunteer members of the World Scout Committee, the main executive body of the World Organization of the Scout Movement, in charge of international relations. She has addressed the European Parliament and the World Bank. She completed an MS in Chemical Technology Engineering at the University of Zagreb, an MBA at Erasmus University Rotterdam, and is completing PhD studies in analytical chemistry at the Cambridge Education Centre. She is a pharmaceutical quality control manager. She joined Scouting in 1983, served at local level as Patrol leader and Group Leader from 1988 to 1992, and as a Member of the National Council from 1992 to 1995. Association Of Top Achiever Scouts
The Association of Top Achiever Scouts (ATAS) is a worldwide Scouting fellowship group, of Scouts and Scouters who have achieved the highest rank as a youth in their Scout associations such as King's Scout, Queen's Scout, President's Scout, Fuji Scout, Eagle Scout, etc. Developed and formed during the 21st Asia-Pacific Region Scout Conference in Brunei on 10 December 2004 by Simon Hang-bock Rhee of Korea, Eric Khoo Heng-Pheng of Malaysia, and Alexander Wong of Hong Kong, the association has spread to the other regions of the World Organization of the Scout Movement. Scout Association of Croatia ( hr, Savez izviđača Hrvatske, SiH) is the Croatian national Scouting organization. As part of Yugoslavia, Croatia was a founding member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement from 1922 to 1948. Independently, Croatia has been a member of the World Organization since 1993, and joined the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts in 2023, making it a "Scout & Guide National Organization". The coeducational Savez Izviđača Hrvatske has 3,827 members as of 2011. Early history Prior to the origination of Scouting, Austria had the Scholar Excursion Society, established in Vinkovci in 1881. Croatian (; ' ) is the standardized variety of the Serbo-Croatian pluricentric language used by Croats, principally in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Serbian province of Vojvodina, and other neighboring countries. The European Scout Region is one of six geographical subdivisions of the World Organization of the Scout Movement, headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, with a satellite office in Brussels, Belgium. World Scout Committee
The World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM ) is the largest international Scouting organization. WOSM has 173 members. These members are recognized national Scout organizations, which collectively have around 43 million participants. WOSM was established in 1922, and has its operational headquarters at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and its legal seat in Geneva, Switzerland. It is the counterpart of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS). The WOSM's current stated mission is "to contribute to the education of young people, through a value system based on the Scout Promise and Scout Law, to help build a better world where people are self-fulfilled as individuals and play a constructive role in society".
