Liberty High School is located in Hillsboro, Oregon, United States, just west of Portland. It opened in 2003, with only freshmen, sophomores and juniors. The school has 1,534 students (2017–2018) and 140 faculty members. As of 2016, the graduation rate was 85%. Hillsboro ( ) is the fifth-largest city in the U.S. state of Oregon and is the county seat of Washington County. Situated in the Tualatin Valley on the west side of the Portland metropolitan area, the city hosts many high-technology companies, such as Intel, locally known as the Silicon Forest. The ''Hillsboro Tribune'' was a weekly newspaper that covered the city of Hillsboro in the U.S. state of Oregon and was published from 2012 to 2019. It was replaced in 2019 by a Hillsboro edition of the Forest Grove '' News-Times'', a sister publication. Owned by the Pamplin Media Group, the newspaper published its first issue on September 7, 2012. It was Pamplin's first new paper since 2001, when the company started the ''Portland Tribune'', and was designed to complement its other local papers in the Portland metropolitan area.
