Liberty High School (Liberty, Texas)
Liberty High School is a public high school serving students grades 9–12 located in the city of Liberty, Liberty County, Texas, United States. As one of the only two secondary schools and the only high school part of the Liberty Independent School District, it is attended by students from the cities of Liberty, and Ames as well as the unincorporated communities within Liberty County, including Moss Hill west of the Trinity River. Students compete in UIL region 4A. In 2022, the school received a "B" rating from the Texas Education Agency. Liberty is a city in the U.S. state of Texas, within Liberty County. The population was 8,279 at the 2020 census. It serves as the seat of Liberty County. Liberty is the third oldest city in the state—established in 1831 on the banks of the Trinity River. The city also has a twin of the Liberty Bell from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Baseball is a bat-and-ball sport played between two teams of nine players each, taking turns batting and fielding. Reggie White (running Back)
Reginald Andre White (born July 11, 1979) is a former American football running back who played one season with the Jacksonville Jaguars of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Oklahoma State University and attended Liberty High School in Liberty, Texas. He was also a member of the New York Jets, Tennessee Titans, Pittsburgh Steelers, Green Bay Packers and Edmonton Eskimos. Early years White earned all-state and all-district honors in both football and basketball for the Liberty High School Panthers. He rushed for 1,209 yards and scored 17 touchdowns his senior year while garnering Offensive Player of the Year accolades. He also participated in track and field for the Panthers. Scholastic wrestling, also known in the United States as folkstyle wrestling, is a style of amateur wrestling practiced at the high school and middle school levels in the United States. This wrestling style is essentially collegiate wrestling with some slight rule modifications. According to an athletics participation survey taken by the National Federation of State High School Associations, boys' wrestling ranked eighth in terms of the number of schools sponsoring teams, with 9,445 schools participating in the 2006–07 school year. Volleyball
Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. Powerlifting
