Libertad, Buenos Aires Province
Libertad is a city located in Merlo Partido, Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. It forms part of the Greater Buenos Aires urban conurbation. Its origin goes back to the 1870s when, by that time, a rural settlement was thriving around a ''pulpería'' (public house) called ''La Libertad'' (Freedom), from where the town took its name. During the last decades a group of prominent neighbors had been working to obtain the autonomy of the city and make Libertad a new partido in the province. Tropical Storm Jose (2005)
Tropical Storm Jose was a short-lived tropical storm which made landfall in central Mexico during August 2005. Jose was the tenth named storm of the 2005 Atlantic hurricane season and the fourth of six tropical cyclones (three hurricanes and three tropical storms) to make landfall in Mexico in that year. Tropical Storm Jose formed in the Bay of Campeche on August 22 and made landfall in the Mexican state of Veracruz the next day. It retained tropical characteristics for less than one day before dissipating, but still brought heavy rainfall to the region. Jose killed 16 people in Mexico, and caused $45 million (2005 USD) in damage. Libertad is a small city in the San José Department of southern Uruguay. Its main commercial street is 25 de Agosto and its central square is Plaza Treinta y Tres Orientales. Libertad Street
Avenida Antonio Arnáiz Somoza, or simply Avenida Arnáiz, formerly known as ''Calle Libertad'' and then ''Calzada de Pásay'', is a major east–west collector road that links Makati and Pasay in the Philippines. It stretches across western Metro Manila from Roxas Boulevard in Pasay to Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA) in Makati. The Osmeña Highway splits Arnaiz Avenue into two sections. The western section found in Pasay is a congested and highly pedestrianized road that used to be known as Calle Libertad. This section passes through some of the most important Pasay landmarks such as the Cuneta Astrodome, Cartimar shopping district and Santa Clara de Montefalco Church. Libertad Station
Libertad station (also known as Antonio Arnaiz station or simply Arnaiz station) is an elevated Manila Light Rail Transit (LRT) station situated on Line 1. The station is located in Pasay at the corner of Taft Avenue and Arnaiz Avenue. The station is named after the former Libertad (Spanish for "''liberty''") Street, which is a junction of both Roxas Boulevard and Taft Avenue in Pasay. The name ''Libertad'' survives as an area name, nowadays, after Libertad Street became a part of Antonio Arnaiz Avenue. Libertad station is the third station for trains headed to Roosevelt, the eighteenth station for trains headed to Baclaran, and is one of the four stations serving Pasay, the others are Gil Puyat, EDSA, and Baclaran.
