Liam Pickering
Liam Michael Pickering (born 9 September 1968) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the North Melbourne Football Club and the Geelong Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). His father, Michael Pickering, also played for North Melbourne. He was the first ever Liam to play AFL/VFL and the only Liam until Liam Picken made his debut in round 2 2009. Sporting career He played 22 games with North Melbourne from 1989–1992, and 102 games with Geelong from 1993–1999, before his retirement from AFL football. Pickering won the club best & fairest award in 1997. He was also a talented cricketer who played 171 matches for North Melbourne Cricket Club in the Victorian Premier Cricket competition. 1116 SEN (call sign 3AK) is an Australian radio station in Victoria. Owned and operated by Pacific Star Network, it broadcasts a sports radio format from Lower Plenty to Greater Melbourne. First broadcast on 29 November 1931 as 3AK, the station currently broadcasts from studios in South Melbourne. History The station first broadcast on 29 November 1931 as 3AK. Craig Hutchison (born 4 December 1974) is an Australian journalist, sports broadcaster and businessman. Based in Melbourne, Hutchison often covers AFL topics and breaking news stories relating to the code. Early life and career Hutchinson was born in Warragul, Victoria. He commenced his career as a journalist in 1994 as a cadet with the '' Herald Sun'' newspaper. The Stawell Football Club is an Australian rules football club which competes in the Wimmera Football League (WFL). It is based in the town of Stawell, Victoria. Victorian Premier Cricket is a club cricket competition in the state of Victoria administered by Cricket Victoria. Each club fields four teams (firsts through to fourths) of adult players and usually play on weekends and public holidays. Matches are played on turf wickets under limited-time rules, with most results being decided on a first-innings basis. Outstanding players in the competition are selected to play for the Victorian Bushrangers at first-class and List A level, in the Sheffield Shield and Marsh One Day Cup competitions respectively.
