Li Yuan (snooker Player)
Li Yuan (, born 20 October 1989) is a Chinese former professional snooker player. Career Li had previously appeared as a wildcard at several ranking tournaments, such as the 2008 China Open where he pushed Marco Fu to a deciding frame, narrowly losing 5–4. The following season he appeared at the 2008 Shanghai Masters where he lost 5–1 to Andy Hicks. He then played in several Asian Tour Events, reaching the last 16 on two occasions, before appearing at the 2017 China Open wildcard round where he was defeated by 5-1 by Jimmy White James Warren White (born 2 May 1962) is an English professional snooker player who has won three seniors World titles. 2018–19 Snooker Season
The 2018–19 snooker season was a series of professional snooker tournaments played between 10 May 2018 and 6 May 2019. The season was made up of ranking tournaments, non-ranking tournaments and variant tournaments. In total, 54 events were competed in the 2018–19 season, beginning with the pro–am 2018 Vienna Open, and ending with the 2019 World Snooker Championship. To be eligible to play in most tournaments, players had to have qualified to play on the World Snooker Tour, however, some wildcard former professional, and amateur players were eligible in certain competitions. The season also saw four events strictly for over 40s, as a part of the World Seniors Tour. Ronnie O'Sullivan, Neil Robertson and Judd Trump each won three ranking events with Mark Allen, Stuart Bingham and Kyren Wilson each winning twice. The 2018 English Open (known for sponsorship reasons as the 2018 BetVictor English Open) was a professional ranking snooker tournament, that took place from 15 to 21 October 2018 in Crawley, West Sussex, England. It was the sixth ranking event of the 2018/2019 season and a part of the Home Nations Series. The defending champion was Ronnie O'Sullivan, who defeated Kyren Wilson in the 2017 event. However, O'Sullivan would lose to Mark Davis 1–6 in the semi-final. Between 2005 and 2008 it was known as the Malta Cup and was the sole ranking tournament in Europe outside the British Isles, before being discontinued. The Paul Hunter Classic is a non-ranking snooker tournament. It changed from a ranking event to a 16-man invitational event in 2019. From 2010 to 2015 it was part of the Players Tour Championship. Barry Hawkins is the reigning champion. After losing its ranking event status, independent promoter Snookerstars.de promoted the 2019 event. The World Open is a professional ranking snooker tournament. Throughout its history, the tournament has undergone numerous revamps and name changes. It started out in 1982 as the ''Professional Players Tournament'', but for most of the 1980s and 1990s it was known as the ''Grand Prix''. It was renamed the '' LG Cup'' from 2001 to 2003 before reverting to the ''Grand Prix'' until 2010. Since then it has been known as the ''World Open''. 2018 Riga Masters
The 2018 Kaspersky Riga Masters was a professional ranking snooker tournament that took place between 27 and 29 July 2018 at the Arena Riga in Riga, Latvia. It was the first ranking event of the 2018/2019 season. Ryan Day was the defending champion, however he lost 3–4 to Ali Carter in the last 64. Liang Wenbo made the highest break of the tournament with 140 in the second round against Neil Robertson. Liang potted all blacks with reds during the break but this was not a maximum break as he potted 13th and 14th reds in the same shot.
