Li Pak-tam
Li Pak-tam, also known as Li Botan, is a Chinese businessman and socialite. He is one of the three primary backers of the American electric car startup Canoo which was spun off from Faraday Future. Family and personal life He is married to Jia Qiang. This makes him the son-in-law of Jia Qinglin a top Chinese Communist Party official who was the fourth most powerful man in China before his retirement in 2013. Li has a daughter named Jasmine Li (Li Zidan). Both Li Pak-tam and Jasmine Li hold Hong Kong residence cards. Career Li Pak-tam is the founder and former chairman of the board of Beijing Zhaode Investment Co and has also started a number of companies in Hong Kong. Canoo is an American automotive startup based in Torrance, California, that develops and manufactures electric vehicles. It plans to sell a lifestyle vehicle by 2022. Canoo's research & development team is based in the Detroit region (Auburn Hills, Livonia) while production operations are in Justin, Texas and at its main manufacturing plant in Pryor, Oklahoma. Jia Qinglin
Jia Qinglin (; born 13 March 1940) is a retired senior leader of the People's Republic of China and of the ruling Chinese Communist Party (CCP). He was a member of the CCP's Politburo Standing Committee, the party's highest ruling organ, between 2002 and 2012, and Chairman of the National Committee of the People's Political Consultative Conference between 2003 and 2013. Jia's functions as the head of China's consultative legislative body were largely ceremonial in nature. Jia, an engineer by trade, began his political career in Fujian in 1985. There, he rose steadily through the ranks and led the province during the Yuanhua scandal. In 1996, Jia was transferred to become mayor, then party chief of Beijing. The Panama Papers ( es, Papeles de Panamá) are 11.5 million leaked documents (or 2.6 terabytes of data) that were published beginning on April 3, 2016. The papers detail financial and attorney–client information for more than 214,488 offshore entities.
