Lewis Bridger
Lewis Alan Bridger (born 4 November 1989, in Hastings, Sussex) is a motorcycle speedway rider from England. Career Bridger stepped straight into Elite League racing from the Conference League after one season with the Weymouth Wildcats. His career includes spells with Eastbourne Eagles and Lakeside Hammers, who he re-signed for in February 2016. On 21 September 2007, Bridger was selected to represent Great Britain at the 2007 Under 21-World Cup Final. In 2006, he became British Under 18 Champion and in 2009 he won the British Under 21 Championship. On 20 November 2009, Bridger signed for Peterborough Panthers from his home town club Eastbourne Eagles. He returned to the Eagles for the 2011 and 2012 seasons before moving on to Lakeside Hammers in 2013. After two seasons with the Hammers he announced that would not ride in 2015, stating "I have lost my love for the sport, have no desire to race and am quite simply not enjoying it any more." Hastings
Hastings () is a large seaside town and borough in East Sussex on the south coast of England, east to the county town of Lewes and south east of London. 2007 Team Speedway Junior World Championship
The 2007 Team Speedway Junior World Championship is the third FIM Team Speedway Junior World Championship season. The Final took place on 23 September 2007 in Abensberg, Germany. The World Championship was won by Poland U-21. It was third title for Poland. Poland team is only team who was won this competition (first staged in 2005). It was also a third title for Poland' captain Karol Ząbik and second title for Paweł Hlib and Krzysztof Buczkowski. In the final, Poland (40 points) beat Great Britain (36 pts), Czech Republic (30 pts) and Germany (13 pts). It was first medals for the British and Czech teams. The title was won after 19th heat, when Buczkowski beat Britain's Lewis Bridger. Czech Republic lost the chance for the silver medal after the 19th when their captain Luboš Tomíček, Jr. was last. Team Speedway Junior World Championship
The Team Speedway Under-21 World Championship is a speedway competition to determine the World Championship for national Under-21 teams. The sport's equivalent of the Under-21 World Cup in football, as of 2022 the title is awarded to the winners of SON2, the Under-21 division of the Speedway of Nations. The first edition of the competition was in 2005 prior to its incorporation with the Speedway of Nations. Poland has dominated the competition winning the title record 15 times. Goričan
Goričan ( hu, Muracsány) is a municipalities of Croatia, municipality in Međimurje County, Croatia. Goričan is the only village belonging to the municipality. Its population in the 2011 census was 2,823. Of the entire population, 2,763 people identified themselves as Croats. Goričan is located in the eastern part of Međimurje County, near the Croatian-Hungary, Hungarian border and the Mur River, Mura. 2009 Individual Speedway Junior World Championship
The 2009 Individual Speedway Junior World Championship was the 33rd edition of the FIM World motorcycle speedway Under-21 Championships. The final took place on 4 October, 2009, in Goričan, Croatia. It was first final to be held in the Balkans and the Championship was won by Australian rider Darcy Ward. The Speedway Under-21 World Championship is an annual speedway event held each year organized by the International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) since 1977. As of 2022, the title was awarded to the winner of the SGP2 category at the FIM Speedway World Championship. In 1979, the Championship allowed riders from other continents to compete, but was renamed to the Speedway World Under 21 Championship in 1988. SGB Premiership 2021
The SGB Premiership 2021 was the 86th season of the top division, called the SGB Premiership, of the British speedway championship in 2021. Six teams participated. Team changes Changes from the 2019 league season saw the Swindon Robins (the 2019 champions) not fielding a team due to the uncertainty surrounding the Swindon Stadium. The Poole Pirates dropped down to the next league down, the SGB Championship but Sheffield Tigers joined the league after previously competing in the SGB Championship 2019. The league started on 17 May and race meetings were covered by Eurosport. Peterborough Panthers finished top of the regular season table by just one point, overtaking the long time leaders Wolverhampton Wolves. By virtue of finishing top they elected to play Wolves in the play off semi finals rather than the third or fourth placed teams Belle Vue and Sheffield. Poole Pirates (also known as Poole Speedway) are a motorcycle speedway team based in Poole, England, competing in the SGB Championship. The club have been the champions of the United Kingdom on ten occasions. Poole Speedway is promoted by local businessman Matt Ford and son Danny Ford, who took over promoting rights of the club in 1998. The team is managed by past rider and former Great Britain team manager Neil Middleditch. Wimborne Road Stadium has been home to the club since it was founded in 1948. In August 2004, Poole hosted the Speedway World Cup final, which was won by Sweden.
