Levittown Station
Levittown station (formerly Levittown–Tullytown) is a SEPTA Regional Rail station in Tullytown, Pennsylvania served by the Trenton Line. It opened in 1953 and was rebuilt in 2015–2019. The station has two side platforms serving the outer tracks of the four-track Northeast Corridor. History The Pennsylvania Railroad's Tullytown was located between Cheston and Brown Streets, northeast of the modern station site. On April 26, 1953, the railroad replaced it with Levittown–Tullytown to serve the then-new namesake community. The Pennsylvania Railroad folded into Penn Central in 1968. Amtrak took over intercity passenger service on May 1, 1971; Amtrak trains continued to stop at the station for a brief period. Tullytown is a borough in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, United States. Originally a village in Falls Township, Tullytown was partitioned as a borough in 1891. Levittown is a census-designated place (CDP) and planned community in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is part of the Philadelphia metropolitan area. The population was 52,983 at the 2010 census. It is above sea level. SEPTA Regional Rail is the commuter rail system serving Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and its metropolitan region, also known as the Delaware Valley. Conrail , formally the Consolidated Rail Corporation, was the primary Class I railroad in the Northeastern United States between 1976 and 1999. Trenton Line (SEPTA)
The Trenton Line is a route of the SEPTA Regional Rail (commuter rail) system. The route serves the northeastern suburbs of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with service in Bucks County along the Delaware River to Trenton, New Jersey. Route Trenton Line trains operate along a four-track line from 30th Street Station via the Philadelphia Zoo (without stopping there), to North Philadelphia, before running parallel to I-95 and then US 13 for several miles. It crosses the Delaware River at Trenton, New Jersey before making its final stop at Trenton Transit Center, which is also served by Amtrak and New Jersey Transit trains.
