Levi Van Veluw
Levi van Veluw (born 1985) is a Dutch contemporary artist. He currently lives and works in Amsterdam. Work Levi van Veluw has produced multi-disciplinary works that include photographs, videos, sculptures, installations and drawings. Exhibitions The artist first became known in 2008 with his solo exhibition Landscapes at Galerie Ron Mandos in Amsterdam. This coincided with him being awarded the International Photo Award in New York for the photo series "Ballpoints", and the selection of one of his video works for the Whitstable Biennale UK. In 2010, the work of the artist was showcased in a series of major museum exhibitions, including the exhibition "Dead or Alive" at the Museum of Arts and Design in New York, Marres House for contemporary Culture Maastricht, Ars Electronica in Linz, Centre of Contemporary Art, Torun, Poland. Hoevelaken
Hoevelaken is a town in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is a part of the municipality of Nijkerk, and lies about 5 km east of Amersfoort. Hoevelaken was a separate municipality until 2000, when it was merged with Nijkerk. History It was first mentioned in 1132 as Hovelaken, and means "estate near the river Laak". It started as a linear settlement. In 1402, the castle Huis te Hoevelaken was built. In 1672, it was destroyed and probably most of the village was destroyed as well. Between 1806 and 1809, the road from Amersfoort to Deventer was paved which resulted in an increase of economical activity in the village. The tower of the Dutch Reformed Church dates from the 16th century. The medieval church has disappeared during the extensions of 1866 and 1930. In 1840, Hoevelaken was home to 742 people. Jochen Zeitz (born 6 April 1963) is the president, CEO and chairman of the board of Harley-Davidson. He served as the chairman and CEO of Puma for 18 years. He also served as board member of luxury goods company Kering, and chaired their Sustainability Committee, for whom he developed its global sustainability strategy.
