Sketchy Bongo
Yuvir Pillay (born 15 July 1989), better known by his stage name Sketchy Bongo, is a South African record producer, DJ and songwriter from Durban. Bongo has worked with artists such as AKA, Da Les, Shekhinah and Aewon Wolf. His signature is the ski mask that he is constantly seen wearing. Bongo is also the only South African producer to have his own feature on MTV Base. Together with Shekinah, the two created the hit " Let You Know", which got Bongo a record deal with Ultra Music and Sony Music. Life and career Yuvir Pillay grew up in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. He started producing music from the age of 13. He started off producing mainly hip-hop music, and was influenced by producers like Pharrell Williams and Kanye West. Shekhinah Thandi Donnell (born 2 October 1994), known mononymously as Shekhinah, is a singer-songwriter from Pietermaritzburg, South Africa. Shekhinah was among the Top 32 of M-Net's Season 7 of ''SA Idols'' in 2011 and among the Top 6 of Season 8 of ''SA Idols'' in 2012. Her debut album ''Rose Gold'' was released in October 2017 and certified platinum by RiSA on 31 August 2018. ''Rose Gold'' produced three number-one singles: "Suited"; "Please Mr." and "Different". Shekhinah, also spelled Shechinah ( Hebrew: שְׁכִינָה ''Šəḵīnā'', Tiberian: ''Šăḵīnā'') is the English transliteration of a Hebrew word meaning "dwelling" or "settling" and denotes the presence of God, as it were, in a place. This concept is found in Judaism. The Hebrew Bible mentions several places where the presence of God was felt and experienced as a Shekhinah, including the burning bush and the cloud that rested on Mount Sinai. The Shekhinah was often pictured as a cloud or as a pillar of fire and was referred to as the glory of God. The Shekhinah was also understood to be present in the Tabernacle and the Temple in Jerusalem, and to be seated at the right hand of God.
