Let Me Entertain You (Amanda Lear Album)
''Let Me Entertain You'' is a studio album by French singer Amanda Lear, released in May 2016 by the independent label Boomlover. Background The album was recorded at Studio Richer in Paris from September 2015 to February 2016. Stylistically, it is a diverse collection of ballads and uptempo pop/dance tracks. It includes some new material written by Lear herself and her collaborators Gaël Brusseleers and Bob Landser, alongside the re-recordings of her 70s hits "Follow Me" and "Fashion Pack" as well as cover versions of Charlie Chaplin's " Smile", Frankie Valli's " Can't Take My Eyes Off You" and the Village People's " Macho Man", among others. The physical edition came with a DVD of Amanda performing selected songs from the album. Lear announced the album's release date on her social media in March 2016. Amanda Lear
Amanda Lear (; born 1939) is a French singer, songwriter, painter, television presenter, actress, and former model. She began her professional career as a fashion model in the mid-1960s, and went on to model for Paco Rabanne, Ossie Clark, and others. She met Spanish surrealist painter Salvador Dalí, and remained his closest friend and muse for the next 15 years. Lear first came into the public eye as the cover model for Roxy Music's album ''For Your Pleasure'' in 1973. Alexandre "Sacha" Distel (29 January 1933 – 22 July 2004) was a French singer, guitarist, songwriter and actor who had hits with a cover version of "Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head" in 1970, which reached No 10 in the UK Charts, "Scoubidou", and " The Good Life". Victor Edward Willis (born July 1, 1951) is an American singer, songwriter, and actor. He is the founding member of the disco group Village People. He performed as their lead singer and was co-songwriter for all of their most successful singles. In the group, he performed costumed as a policeman or a naval officer. The son of a Baptist preacher, Willis developed his singing skills in his father's church. With training in acting and dance, he went to New York and joined the prestigious Negro Ensemble Company. Robert John Gaudio (born November 17, 1942) is an American singer, songwriter, musician, and record producer, and the keyboardist and backing vocalist of the pop/rock band the Four Seasons.
