''Let's Hear It for Love'' is the eighth studio album from American singer Benny Mardones. It was released in 2006 by Warrior Records and produced by Jim Ervin. Background ''Let's Hear It for Love'' was Mardones' first album for Warrior Records and his first since 2002's '' A Journey Through Time''. The album was dedicated to long-time road manager and friend, Tommy Piraino, who died around the time from leukemia. The track "Just for You My Friend" was written as a tribute to Piraino. The title track, "Let's Hear It For Love", is a duet with Eddie Money, who also co-wrote the track. "When the Lights Go Out" is a duet with Robbyn Kirmsse, while the duet "This Time" features Katrina Carlson. Release The album was released on CD and as a digital download by Warrior Records. The CD was re-issued in 2007 by Warrior Records and again that year by Warrior Records and Bungalo. A single, "The Train Don't Stop Here Anymore", was released from the album. Ruben Armand "Benny" Mardones (November 9, 1946 – June 29, 2020) was an American pop/rock singer and songwriter who was best known for his hit single " Into the Night", which hit the top 20 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 chart twice, in 1980 (#11) and again in 1989 (#20). Early life and career Benny Mardones was born on November 9, 1946, in Cleveland, Ohio. His father, Ruben Sr., who was originally from Santiago, Chile, left the family when Benny was an infant and returned to Chile. ''A Journey Through Time'' is the seventh studio album from American singer Benny Mardones. It was released in 2002 by Crazy Boy Records. Background ''A Journey Through Time'' was originally intended as the soundtrack to the Mardones' documentary "Into The Night: The Benny Mardones Story". However, the album became a loosely separated project, acting as a "musical biography". The album saw Mardones recording the songs that were important to him personally, whether they were new songs or covers. Mardones' illustrated their significance in the liner notes.
