Les Ramoneurs De Menhirs
Les Ramoneurs de menhirs are a Breton Celtic punk group formed in 2006. Its members include Éric Gorce on the bombardon, Richard Bévillon on the bagpipes, the traditional vannetais singer Gwenaël Kere and Loran, guitarist from the group Bérurier Noir. They play concerts at fest noz as well as . Most of their songs are sung in the Breton language. Biography The group formed in 2006 after Bévillon and Gorce invited Louise Ebrel, Maurice Jouanno and the ex-Bérurier Noir Loran on their album of traditional Breton music ''Kerne Izel'', released on Coop Breizh. Their first album, ''Dañs an Diaoul'' (Dance of the Devil) was released in 2006 by the former label of Bérurier Noir, Folklore de la zone mondiale. The singer Louise Ebrel, daughter of Eugénie Goadec, a famous traditional Breton musician, is a guest on the album. Louise Ebrel
Louise Ebrel (27 July 1932 – 30 March 2020) was a Breton singer whose parents Eugénie Goadec (one of the Goadec Sisters) and Job Ebrel were themselves singers. Her repertoire was composed of traditional Breton songs, either for dancing ('' kan ha diskan'') or for listening (''gwerz''). Ebrel was born at Treffrin in the Côtes-du-Nord (the present Côtes d'Armor). From 1991 to 2006 she accompanied the singer-poet Denez Prigent in concerts, both as a duo and with his musical group. Since 1996 she frequently sang with Ifig Flatrès in '' kan ha diskan'' at festoù noz. Hellfest
Hellfest (), also called Hellfest Summer Open Air, is a rock festival focusing on heavy metal music, held annually in June in Clisson, France. Its high attendance makes it the French music festival with the largest turnover. It is also one of the biggest metal festivals in Europe and the first to exist in France. Kan Ar Bobl
Kan ar Bobl ( Breton for ''Song of the people'') is a Breton music competition created in 1973, that takes place in Lorient as part of the Festival Interceltique de Lorient. It was the brainchild of Polig Montjarret. Presentation At the time of the festival's inauguration, Celtic music was quite popular, with Alan Stivell, Dan Ar Braz, Glenmor and Gilles Servat being big names in the field. Quickly, its success had put pressure on the organisers to hold local heats all over Brittany before the final (1975). Na Gathan is a Scottish Gaelic Indie rock band from the Isle of Skye. History Na Gathan were formed in 2007 and first came to national attention in Scotland when they appeared in a piece on the Rapal music programme on BBC2 that documented their involvement in organizing the Celtic Connections unofficial fringe held in Glasgow early in 2008.
