Lercio is an Italian site of news satire providing humorous and grotesque articles, headlines, polls and other columns to satirize the tone and format of sensationalistic press, in the style of '' The Onion.'' History The site, founded by Michele Incollu as a parody of the free press website Leggo (from which it takes the font of the logo and the sounding alike name), published its first article on October 28, 2012. Lercio is edited by a satirical group that started writing punchlines on La Palestra, a school of comedy writing in the website of the Italian popular comedian Daniele Luttazzi, then founded Acido Lattico and finally joined the editorial staff of Lercio. On September 13, 2014 Lercio revealed itself to the general public by winning best Italian website and best joke categories at Macchianera Internet Awards. Daniele Luttazzi
Daniele Luttazzi (; born Daniele Fabbri on 26 January 1961) is an Italian theater actor, writer, satirist, illustrator and singer. His stage name is an homage to musician and actor Lelio Luttazzi. His favourite topics are politics, religion, sex and death. Biography Luttazzi was born in Santarcangelo di Romagna, province of Rimini. He began his comic career performing satirical monologues in theatre shows and writing comedy books. In 1988, his monologue won an award in a comedy contest held at Rome's Teatro Sistina. From 1989, he began working in TV variety shows: ''Fate il vostro gioco'' (1989, Rai 2), ''Banane'' (1989, Telemontecarlo), ''Magazine 3'' (1993, 1994, Rai 3), ''Mai Dire Gol'' (1996, 1997, Italia 1). In 1998, he hosts his own late night show, ''Barracuda'' (Italia 1). Luttazzi did monologues about recent news, interviews with famous showbiz and political personalities, and skits for adult audiences. Rai 3 (formerly Rete 3) is an Italian free-to-air television channel owned and operated by state-owned public broadcaster RAI – Radiotelevisione italiana. It was launched on 15 December 1979 and its programming is centred towards cultural and regional programming. It has always been considered the most left-leaning channel of Italian public television; its direct competitor to Mediaset's Rete 4. Foreign language programming In the Aosta Valley, Rai 3 broadcasts some programmes in French, about less than three hours a week. DMAX (Italian TV Channel)
DMAX is a thematic network television owned by Warner Bros. Discovery. The Italian version of the channel began its broadcasting at 6:45 pm on 10 November 2011 with the show ''Destroyed in Seconds''. DMAX is available on channel 52 of digital television, on Sky Italia at channel 136 in HD and on Tivù Sat at channel 28 in HD. It is the first factual-entertainment channel for a male audience in Italy. From 17 December 2012, it broadcasts on Tivùsat at LCN 28 and moves to LCN 808 of Sky Italia. From 9 April 2014 it moved to LCN 136 of Sky Italia, with the official launch of the +1 version at LCN 137. From 7 November of the same year DMAX also broadcasts in HD on the Sky Italia platform. From 1 March 2019 DMAX HD and DMAX +1 become visible also on Tivùsat at LCN 28 and 128, replacing the SD version. Lucca Comics & Games is an annual Comic book convention, comic book and gaming convention in Lucca, Italy, traditionally held at the end of October, in conjunction with All Saints' Day. It is the largest comics festival in Europe, and the second biggest in the world after the Comiket. History The Salone Internazionale del Comics ("International Congress of Comics") was launched by a Franco-Italian partnership, consisting of Italians Rinaldo Traini and Romano Calisi and Frenchman (forming the International Congress of Cartoonists and Animators) in 1965 in Bordighera. In 1966, it moved to a small piazza in the center of Lucca, and grew in size and importance over the years. Funding issues reduced the frequency of the festival to every two years, beginning in 1977. The International Journalism Festival is a journalism event annually held in Perugia, Italy (in central Italy, about 100 miles, or 160 km, north of Rome). The Prix Italia is an international Television, Radio-broadcasting and Web award. It was established in 1948 by RAI – Radiotelevisione Italiana (in 1948, RAI had the denomination RAI – Radio Audizioni Italiane) in Capri and is honoured with the High Patronage of the President of the Italian Republic. Sara Pichelli (born 15 April 1983) is an Italian comics artist best known for first illustrating the Miles Morales version of ''Ultimate Spider-Man''. After starting her career in animation, Pichelli entered the comic book industry working for IDW Publishing before joining Marvel Comics in 2008 after getting discovered in an international talent search. After having worked on several Marvel titles, such as ''Namora'', Pichelli was hired as the main artist on the second volume of '' Ultimate Comics: Spider-Man'', which premiered in September 2011. Pichelli won a 2011 Eagle Award for Favorite Newcomer Artist. Career Pichelli was born in Porto Sant'Elpidio, Italy.
