Leonid Klimov
Leonid Mykhailovych Klimov (born March 31, 1953) is a Ukrainian parliamentarian, banker, and politician. He is a member of the Party of Regions in Verkhovna Rada (from November, 2007) and a member of the Committee on National Security and Defense (from December, 2007). He is also a member of the Party of Regions Council and chairman in the Odesa Oblast department of the Party of Regions. Biography He was born on March 31, 1953 in Makiivka, Donetsk Oblast. He has a wife, Tatiana Yuriivna (b. 1962), who is a housewife, and three children: daughters Daria (1983) and Anastasia (1997) and son, Alex (1994). JSCB "IMEXBANK" ( uk, ІМЕКСБАНК) was one of the largest commercial banks in Ukraine based in the city of Odessa. It was founded on March 29, 1994. The bank's primary owner was Leonid Klimov. On January 27, 2015, the National Bank of Ukraine declared Imexbank insolvent and introduced a temporary administration for a period of three months. On May 27, 2015, the Deposit Guarantee Fund of Ukraine made a decision to liquidate Imexbank. History IMEXBANK was opened on March 29, 1994. 2019 Ukrainian Parliamentary Election
Snap elections to the Ukrainian parliament were held on 21 July 2019. Originally scheduled to be held at the end of October, these elections were brought forward after newly inaugurated President of Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy dissolved parliament on 21 May 2019, during his inauguration. The election result was the one-party majority, a novelty in Ukraine, for President Zelenskyy's Servant of the People party with 254 seats. About 80 percent of the elected candidates were new to parliament; 83 deputies managed to get reelected from 8th Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada, the previous parliament and 13 deputies from earlier convocations.
