Lenggang Djakarta
''Lenggang Djakarta'' (literally ''Jakarta Sway'') is a 1953 Indonesian drama film directed by M. Arief and starred Bambang Hermanto, Mimi Mariani, and Ismah BS. Plot Mulyono left his village for Jakarta to improve his fate and fortune, he left behind his wife, Herawati, and his son, Djaja. But his attempts to find a job have all failed, and he was robbed when eating gado-gado at Mr. Amat's stall. Mr and Mrs. Amat later gave him a shelter, and he was introduced to several people such as Ribut who owned a kue pancong stall, Siman, a taxi driver, and Iming, a rickshaw driver. One day, Mulyono managed to secure a job at a gas station, and later meets a city girl named Nani who was filling up her tank. Fred Young (born Njo Tiong Gie) (31 October 1900 – 2 June 1977) was an ethnic Chinese film director and producer active in the Dutch East Indies and its successor state, Indonesia. He reportedly studied film in Hollywood as a youth, but only entered the nation's film industry in 1940. After he made his debut as a writer with '' Sorga Palsoe'', he was involved in some 36 productions, 23 as director. ''Gado-gado'' (Indonesian or Betawi) is an Indonesian salad of raw, slightly boiled, blanched or steamed vegetables and hard-boiled eggs, boiled potato, fried tofu and tempeh, and ''lontong'' (rice wrapped in a banana leaf), served with a peanut sauce dressing. In 2018, ''gado-gado'' was promoted as one of five national dishes of Indonesia; the others are soto, sate, nasi goreng, and rendang.
