Leipzig I
Leipzig I is an electoral constituency (German: ''Wahlkreis'') represented in the Bundestag. It elects one member via first-past-the-post voting. Under the current constituency numbering system, it is designated as constituency 152. It is located in northwestern Saxony, comprising the northern part of the city of Leipzig. Leipzig I was created for the inaugural 1990 federal election after German reunification. Since 2017, it has been represented by Jens Lehmann of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU). Geography Leipzig I is located in northwestern Saxony. As of the 2021 federal election, it comprises the city districts (''Stadtbezirke'') of Alt-West, Nord, Nordost, Nordwest, and Ost from the independent city of Leipzig.
