Leif Eldring
Leif Thomas Eldring (18 April 1933 – 25 August 1994) was a Norwegian judge and civil servant. He was born in Vardø. He competed his education in law in 1963, having worked part-time in Postverket. He was Norway's Governor of Svalbard from 1974 to 1977 and 1985 to 1991. Between the two spells he had been appointed as deputy under-secretary of state in the Norwegian Ministry of Justice and the Police. Except for his second spell in Svalbard, he was the permanent under-secretary of state in the Ministry of Justice from 1979 to 1993. Vardø
( fi, Vuoreija, fkv, Vuorea, se, Várggát) is a municipality in Troms og Finnmark county in the extreme northeastern part of Norway. Vardø is the easternmost town in Norway, more to the east than Saint Petersburg or Istanbul. The administrative centre of the municipality is the town of Vardø. Two of the larger villages in the municipality are Kiberg and Svartnes. The municipality is the 189th largest by area out of the 356 municipalities in Norway. Ingelin Killengreen
Ingelin Christine Killengreen (born 12 November 1947) is a Norwegian jurist and former Police Commissioner in the National Police Directorate. Killengreen was born in Bergen. In her youth she attended Bergen Cathedral School. She graduated at the University of Oslo as a cand.jur. in 1972. After working for more than 20 years in the Norwegian Ministry of Justice and the Police, where she held positions as deputy under-secretary of state (1988—1993) and permanent under-secretary of state (1993—1994), she became the first female Police Chief in Oslo in 1995. When the National Police Directorate was created in 2000 Killengreen was appointed as the first Police Commissioner. Odd Blomdal
Odd Emil Blomdal (30 January 1927 – 27 September 2015) was a Norwegian judge and civil servant. He took the cand.jur. degree in 1952, and later took a military education as well as further education in political science and public law. He was a lecturer at the Norwegian Military Academy from 1966 to 1978, presiding judge in the Hålogaland Court of Appeal from 1978 to 1980 and Judge Advocate General for the Norwegian Armed Forces from 1980 to 1988. From 1988 he was a presiding judge in the Eidsivating Court of Appeal. He was then Norway's Governor of Svalbard between 1991 and 1995. From 1996 to his retirement he was employed as extraordinary presiding judge in the Borgarting Court of Appeal. Posten Norge () is the name of the Norwegian postal service. The company, owned by the Norwegian Ministry of Transport and Communications had a monopoly until 2016 on distribution of letters weighing less than 50g throughout the country. There are 30 post offices in Norway, in addition to 1400 outlets in retail stores. History Posten was founded in January 1647 as Postvesenet ("the postal system") by general post master Henrik Morian.
