Leerdam Broekgraaf was a planned railway station, in Leerdam, Netherlands. History The station was set to open in 2011. The station would have been on the Merwede-Lingelijn (Dordrecht - Geldermalsen) and between Arkel and Leerdam Leerdam () is a city and former municipality in the western Netherlands, in the province of Utrecht. The municipality was merged with the municipalities of Vianen and Zederik on 1 January 2019. The name of the new municipality is Vijfheerenlande ... to be used by passengers from western Leerdam and small settlements in the area. Leerdam () is a city and former municipality in the western Netherlands, in the province of Utrecht. The municipality was merged with the municipalities of Vianen and Zederik on 1 January 2019. The name of the new municipality is Vijfheerenlanden which is a part of the province Utrecht. The former municipality Leerdam was a part of the province South Holland. The south border of the town is formed by the river Linge. The name originates from a dam in the river Lede which was a branch from the river Linge towards Meerkerk. Leerdam is situated almost exactly in the middle of the three highways A2, A15 and A27. History Leerdam received city rights in 1407. Arkel is a railway station, located in Arkel in the Netherlands. The station is located on the Qbuzz line between Dordrecht and Geldermalsen. It was opened on 1 December 1883, was closed on 15 May 1938 and was reopened on 10 June 1940. Originally, Arkel had two tracks, in the 1980s this was reduced to a single track. The Leerdam railway station is located in the western Netherlands, on the MerwedeLingelijn line between Dordrecht and Geldermalsen. The railway station was opened on 1 December 1883.
