Leeds Rugby Limited
Leeds Rugby Limited is the 'Worlds First Dual Rugby Partnership', between the main Rugby league and Rugby Union sides in the city of Leeds, these being the Leeds Rhinos (Rugby League) and Leeds Tykes (Rugby Union). Both teams played at the Headingley Carnegie Stadium until Leeds Tykes moves out ahead of the 2020–21 season. Leeds Tykes
Leeds Tykes (formerly Leeds RUFC, Leeds Carnegie and Yorkshire Carnegie) is an English rugby union club in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England, playing in the National League 1. The club was founded as Headingley FC, but renamed in 1991 when it joined with Roundhay RUFC to form Leeds RUFC. In 1998, the club merged with Leeds Rhinos to form Leeds Rugby Limited, also known as Leeds Tykes. In 2007, Leeds Metropolitan University bought a 51% stake in the club and changed the name to fit with the university's sport department, Carnegie College. At the end of the 2008–09 season, ownership of the club passed back into the hands of Leeds Rugby. They are now called Leeds Tykes. Headingley Stadium is a stadium complex in Headingley, Leeds, West Yorkshire, England, comprising two separate grounds; Headingley Cricket Ground and Headingley Rugby Stadium, linked by a two-sided stand housing common facilities. The grounds are the respective homes of Yorkshire County Cricket Club (CCC) and Leeds Rhinos rugby league club. Initially it was owned by the Leeds Cricket, Football and Athletic Company (Leeds Rhinos); however since 2006, the cricket ground has been owned by Yorkshire CCC with the rugby ground retained by Leeds CF&A. Leeds Rhinos
The Leeds Rhinos are a professional rugby league club in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. The club was formed in 1870 as Leeds St John's and play in the Super League, the top tier of English rugby league. They have played home matches at Headingley Stadium since 1890. In 1895, Leeds was one of twenty-two rugby clubs that broke away from the Rugby Football Union and formed what was originally the Northern Union, but is now the Rugby Football League. Gary Hetherington (born 1954) is an English professional rugby league executive and former professional rugby league footballer and coach. He is the chief executive officer of the Leeds Rhinos in the Super League. Hetherington made his début for Wakefield Trinity in January 1973. He played for Wakefield Trinity, York, Leeds, Hunslet (loan), Kent Invicta, Huddersfield, Sheffield Eagles and Whitehaven (two spells). He played as a , and also as a .
