The Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy (LKY School) is an autonomous postgraduate school of the National University of Singapore (NUS), named after the late former Prime Minister of Singapore, Lee Kuan Yew. History The Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy is an autonomous postgraduate school of the National University of Singapore (NUS). The QS World University Rankings (2019) ranked NUS 11th in the world and 1st in Asia. It was formally launched on 4 August 2004 and named in honour of Singapore's first and longest-serving prime minister. The school inherited the Policy Programme that NUS had set up with Harvard Kennedy School in 1992. Today, the LKY School offers five master's degree programmes, a senior fellowship programme and a PhD programme, and has four research centres. Danny Quah () is Li Ka Shing Professor in Economics at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore. Quah's work includes contributions to the fields of economic growth, development economics, monetary economics, macroeconometrics, and the weightless economy. Quah is best known for his research on estimation techniques for disentangling the effects of different disturbances on economies, for his studies on economic growth and convergence across nation states, and for his analyses of large-scale shifts in the global economy. Quah became the dean of the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, beginning his term on 1 May 2018. Carrie Tan Huimin ( zh, s=陈浍敏, p=Chén Huìmǐn; born 1982) is a Singaporean politician. Don Wee Boon Hong ( zh, s=黄文鸿, p=Huáng Wénhóng; born 1976) is a Singaporean politician and accountant. Jack Sim (, born 1957) is the founder of the Restroom Association of Singapore, the World Toilet Organization, the World Toilet Day initiative and Bottom of the Pyramid (BoP) Hub. Formerly from the construction industry, he decided to devote the rest of his life to social work after attaining financial independence at the age of 40.
