Leandro Vieria
Leandro Vieira is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu instructor and competitor, and a co-founder of Checkmat. He is also the Brazilian jiu-jitsu head coach for the MMA team at American Kickboxing Academy, renowned for being one of the most successful teams in the world. Brazilian jiu-jitsu Leandro Vieira began training jiu-jitsu at a very young age: only 5 years old. He is known as one of the best Brazilian jiu-jitsu instructors in the world. He has won medals at IBJJF Championships such as the Brazilian jiu-jitsu World Championships, Brazilian Nationals, Paulista Regionals, Las Vegas Open and Submission Ink Grappling Tournament. He holds a 4th-Degree Black Belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. The World IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu Championship (commonly known as the Worlds or Mundials) is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu tournament held once every year by the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation. It is widely considered to be the most important and prestigious jiu-jitsu tournament of the year. The first edition took place in February 1996 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The Brazilian National Jiu-Jitsu Championship (commonly known as the Brazilian Nationals) is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) tournament that is held in Barueri, Brazil. They are hosted annually by the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation. History The Brazilian National Jiu-Jitsu Championship, also known as the "Brasileiro" has been held annually since 1996. Ricardo Alcantara Vieira commonly known as Rico Vieira or Ricardinho is a Brazilian grappler, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Instructor, and Competitor. He was born on the 9th of January 1979. He is one of the Viera brothers (Léo and Leandro), who lead and fight for Checkmat.
