Leandro Mercado
Leandro Denis "Tati" Mercado (born 15 February 1992) is a motorcycle racer from Argentina, and is set to compete in the 2022 Superbike World Championship aboard a Honda CBR1000RR for Team MIE Racing. He is best known for winning the National title of the AMA Supersport Championship in 2009 and the FIM Superstock 1000 Cup in 2014. Career Junior career After finishing third in the Red Bull AMA Rookies Cup in 2008, the following year Mercado achieved the same result in the East division of the AMA Supersport Championship and won the National title in the Shootout race held in Daytona. In 2010 he was seventh in the CIV Stock 600 Championship and contested three races of the European Superstock 600 Championship on a Kawasaki ZX-6R, while in 2011 he finished sixth in the CIV Stock 1000 Championship and sixteenth in the FIM Superstock 1000 Cup on a Kawasaki ZX-10R. Córdoba () is a city in central Argentina, in the foothills of the Sierras Chicas on the Suquía River, about northwest of Buenos Aires. Superbike World Championship (also known as WorldSBK, SBK, World Superbike, WSB, or WSBK) is a silhouette-class road racing series based on heavily modified production motorcycles, also known as superbike racing. The championship was founded in . The Superbike World Championship consists of a series of rounds held on permanent racing facilities. The 2021 Superbike World Championship (known officially as the 2021 Motul FIM Superbike World Championship for sponsorship reasons) was the 34th season of the Superbike World Championship. Ducati Panigale V4
The Ducati Panigale V4 is a sport bike with a desmodromic 90° V4 engine introduced by Ducati in 2018 as the successor to the V-twin engined 1299. A smaller engine displacement version complies with the Superbike category competition regulations which state "Over 750 cc up to 1000 cc" for three and four cylinder 4-stroke engines. The name "Panigale" comes from the small manufacturing town of Borgo Panigale. The Panigale V4 uses the new ''Desmosedici Stradale'' V4 engine, derived from the Desmosedici MotoGP racing engine. The 2019 Superbike World Championship (known as 2019 MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship for sponsorship reasons) was the 32nd season of the Superbike World Championship. Competition format A new race format was introduced for the 2019 season. The Aprilia RSV4 is a super bike manufactured by Aprilia. The RSV4 is Aprilia's flagship model. Aprilia offers two models of the bike: the RSV4 Factory and RSV4 R limited edition (only 350). For 2016 it is offered in two models the RSV4 RR and RSV4 RF. The 2016 updated bike was made to take advantage of and comply with that year's Superbike rules which allow fewer modifications for production bikes. IodaRacing Project is an Italian motorcycle constructor and racing team based in Terni, Italy. The team currently fields Aprilia motorcycles in the Superbike World Championship with Leandro Mercado and with Yamaha motorcycles in the Supersport 300 World Championship with Armando Pontone. The 2017 Superbike World Championship was the 30th season of the Superbike World Championship. The season was contested over 26 races at 13 locations, starting on 25 February at Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit in Australia and ending on 4 November at Losail International Circuit in Qatar. The season saw the revision of the starting grid format for the second race, which was previously based on qualifying results for both races: riders placed from fourth to ninth in Race 1 were promoted to the first two rows for Race 2; then the third, the second and the winner followed on the third row; the remaining riders were sorted from the tenth grid slot onwards according to Superpole results.
