IodaRacing Project
IodaRacing Project is an Italian motorcycle constructor and racing team based in Terni, Italy. The team currently fields Aprilia motorcycles in the Superbike World Championship with Leandro Mercado and with Yamaha motorcycles in the Supersport 300 World Championship with Armando Pontone. Between 2011 and 2015 IodaRacing raced in the Grand Prix World Championship, making appearances in all three classes using different chassis. History Background Team principal Giampiero Sacchi had been involved in the sport since the 1980s when he was working in management and public relations. Sacchi ran his own team, Scuderia Carrizosa, from 1996 to 1998 in the 125cc and 250cc classes before working for Derbi Racing, Gilera and Aprilia between 1998 and 2010. Forward Racing is a motorcycle racing team competing in the Moto2 World Championship. History The team started competing in the MotoGP class as the Hayate Racing Team, a scaled down version of the Kawasaki factory team that withdrew from MotoGP for the championship due to the Great Recession. The team took its name from the Japanese word ''Hayate'' meaning hurricane. The team ran one Kawasaki ZX-RR motorcycle that was ridden by Marco Melandri. FTR Moto Ltd was a British motorcycle parts and frame manufacturer. The name was an acronym for ''Fabrication Techniques Racing Motorcycles''. History The company was founded in 1994 as ''Fabrication Techniques'' by Steve Bones and in 1995 helped Kenny Roberts and TWR to build the chassis for their ''Modenas KR3'' (later ''Proton KR3'') motorcycle. Mattia Pasini (born 13 August 1985) is an Italian Grand Prix motorcycle road racer. Career Early career Born in Rimini, Pasini participated in his first race at the age of 9. 125cc World Championship After several successful years in the Italian and European championships, he made his 125cc world championship debut in 2004 as the teammate of Roberto Locatelli. He finished his first season in the 15th place overall, and earned the rookie of the year award. His best results were a 3rd place in Qualifying and a 7th place in the Malaysian Grand Prix. Simone Corsi (born 24 April 1987) is an Italian former Grand Prix motorcycle racer. Born in Rome, Corsi has been racing in motorcycle world championships for nearly 20 years, amassing over 300 races, 4th all-time, behind only Valentino Rossi, Andrea Dovizioso and Loris Capirossi. The 2011 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season was the 63rd F.I.M. Road Racing World Championship season. The 2011 season was also the final season for 800cc engines in MotoGP, and also for 125cc machinery, as both MotoGP switched back to 1000cc engines and a new four-stroke Moto3 class was also introduced in 2012. Casey Stoner was crowned as MotoGP World Champion for the second time, following his ninth victory of the season at the Australian Grand Prix. Lukáš Pešek (born 22 November 1985 in Prague, Czechoslovakia) is a Czech motorcycle racer. He competes in the Alpe Adria Road Race Superbike Championship and the Endurance FIM World Championship aboard a BMW S1000RR. He won the Alpe Adria Road Race Superbike Championship in 2016. Having won Czech championships in 125 cc class in 2001 and 2002, when he also raced in European series, he moved to European 250 cc championship in 2003. That year he moved to World Championship mid-season, in order to replace his compatriot Jaroslav Huleš. He scored four points that year after finishing 12th in Phillip Island. The 2013 FIM MotoGP World Championship was the premier class of the 65th F.I.M. Road Racing World Championship season. Season summary Jorge Lorenzo started the season as the defending World Champion, while Honda was the defending Manufacturers' Champion. Eskil Suter
Eskil Suter (born 29 June 1967) is a former Grand Prix motorcycle road racer and current motorcycle chassis constructor from Switzerland. Motorcycle racing career Born in Turbenthal, Zürich, Switzerland, Suter finished in second place in the 1991 250cc International Lightweight class at the Daytona International Speedway. Suter had his best seasons in 1994 and 1996 when he finished in 13th place in the 250cc world championship. He raced in one round of the 1997 Superbike World Championship but failed to score any points.
