Michael Riley (film Producer)
Michael Riley is an English film producer. He is CEO of Bristol and London-based production company Sterling Pictures. Biography Born in Nottingham, Michael Riley grew up in Edwalton. He attended the University of Ulster in Coleraine, Northern Ireland, studying English, Media and Theatre studies. His factual work includes documentaries in China about the Uyghurs in Xinjiang; Kenya where he produced the Turner Prize nominated short film Waiting for artist Zarina Bhimji; and India where he interviewed the 14th Dalai Lama at his palace in Dharamshala. He produced ''In A Land Of Plenty'', a ten-part drama series for the BBC by Sterling Pictures (with TalkBack Productions). He continues to produce mainly feature films in the UK and many of his films have won awards at international film festivals. Austin Film Festival (AFF), founded in 1994, is an organization in Austin, Texas, that focuses on writers’ creative contributions to film. Initially, AFF was called the Austin Heart of Film Screenwriters Conference and functioned to launch the careers of screenwriters, who historically have been underrepresented within the film industry. James Holmes (actor)
James Holmes (born 1965) is a West Midlands-born comedy actor of stage and television. He is best known for playing Clive in the 2009 BBC sitcom '' Miranda''. Education Holmes trained at The Poor School in London, then did a Youth Training Scheme working in the props department of the Belgrade. Career Holmes has appeared in over 40 television and theatre productions since 1984. He has been featured in various off- West End and regional shows, including a run as Lady Bracknell in ''The Importance of Being Earnest'' for the New Players Theatre, and various parts in Catherine Tate's theatre comedy show.
