Laurent Ottoz
Laurent Ottoz (born 10 April 1970) is an Italian hurdling, hurdler. He won four medals, at senior level, at International athletics championships and games, international athletics competitions. Career His personal best time was 13.42 seconds, achieved in August 1994 in Berlin. This is a former Italian record, which in turn belonged to his father Eddy Ottoz with 13.46 seconds. The Italian record currently belongs to Emanuele Abate with 13.28 seconds. After this he changed event to the 400 metres hurdles. His personal best time is 48.52 seconds, and in Italy only Fabrizio Mori has run the distance faster. In 1995, Laurent set the fastest automatically recorded time for the rarely run 200 metres Hurdling, low hurdles at 22.55. While inferior to the last official world record in the race, a hand timed 21.9 by Don Styron in 1960, Ottoz bettered the previous best fully automatic timing, automatic time 22.63 held by Colin Jackson, arguably the best hurdler in the world at that time. ... Eddy Ottoz
Eddy Ottoz (born 3 June 1944) is an Italian former athlete and bronze medalist at the 1968 Summer Olympics in the 110 metre hurdles. Biography Sport career Ottoz competed for Italy in the Athletics at the 1964 Summer Olympics, 1964 Summer Olympics held in Tokyo, Japan, and in the Athletics at the 1968 Summer Olympics, 1968 Summer Olympics held in Mexico City, Mexico where he won the bronze medal in the 110 metre hurdles event. In retirement Ottoz retired from competitions in 1969, aged 25. He became an athletics coach (sport), coach in 1986, and by 1992 trained hurdlers and sprinters of the Italy national athletics team. As a sports manager he was president of the Regional Committee of the Italian National Olympic Committee, CONI of the Valle d'Aosta. Fabrizio Mori (born 28 June 1969 in Livorno) is an Italian hurdler, best known for his gold medal at the 1999 World Championships. Biography Fabrizio Mori won nineteen medals at the International athletics competitions, five of these with national relays team. He represented in the Golden Gala eight times between 1992 and 2002. His greatest success was in 1999 when he copped the gold medal at the World Championship, beating athletes such as Bryan Bronson, Stephane Diagana and Samuel Matete. Andy Turner (athlete)
Andrew Steven Turner (born 19 September 1980) is an English bodybuilder and retired track and field athlete who specialised in the 110 metres hurdles and occasionally competed in the 100 and 200 metres sprints as well as long jump. At the 110 m hurdles, he is the 2011 World Championship bronze medallist, the 2010 European Champion and the 2010 Commonwealth Champion. Also in 2010, he broke the automatically timed world record in the 200 metres hurdles. He was coached by Lloyd Cowan. Colin Jackson
Colin Ray Jackson, (born 18 February 1967) is a Welsh former sprint and hurdling athlete who specialised in the 110 metres hurdles. During a career in which he represented Great Britain and Wales, he won an Olympic silver medal, became world champion twice, World indoor champion once, was undefeated at the European Championships for 12 years and was twice Commonwealth champion. His world record of 12.91 seconds for the 110 m hurdles stood for over 10 years and his 60 metres hurdles world record stood for nearly 27 years. Jackson won his first major medal, a silver, in the 110 m hurdles, aged 19 at the 1986 Commonwealth Games. He soon established himself on the global scene, taking bronze at the 1987 World Championships in Athletics and a silver medal at the 1988 Summer Olympics.
