Lauren Beers
Lauren Kellie Beers Stanton (born April 1, 1994) is a retired American artistic gymnast. She was a member of the Alabama Crimson Tide gymnastics from the 2013 season until the 2016 season. Personal life Lauren Kellie Beers was born on April 1, 1994 to parents, Patricia and Rick Beers in Warren Township, Bradford County, Pennsylvania, Warren Township, Pennsylvania. She has five brothers and one sister. Beers was diagnosed with Osteochondritis dissecans in 2006, at the age of 12. She saw four doctors, all of whom told her to stop gymnastics until she met a USA Gymnastics doctor who performed four surgeries for them to reduce pain. She was home-schooled until high graduation in 2012. In the fall of 2012, she started attending the University of Alabama, as an exercise science major. Bradford County, Pennsylvania
Bradford County is a county in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. It is part of Northeastern Pennsylvania. As of the 2020 census, its population was 59,967. Its county seat is Towanda. The county was created on February 21, 1810, from parts of Lycoming and Luzerne Counties. The Elite 90 Award or more formally The Elite 90 Academic Recognition Award Program, originally the Elite 88 Award and later the Elite 89 Award, is an award by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) recognizing the student athlete with the highest cumulative grade-point average who has reached the competition at the finals site for each of the NCAA's 90 men's and women's championships across its three divisions ( Division I, Division II, Division III). The Nastia Liukin Cup (formerly the Nastia Liukin Supergirl Cup from 2010–11) is an annual artistic gymnastics competition held in the United States and hosted by Olympic gymnast Nastia Liukin. History In August 2009, USA Gymnastics announced that they had partnered with 2008 Olympic champion Nastia Liukin to create a competitive opportunity for the country's top Junior Olympic gymnasts that is intended to serve as a debut for pre-elite competitors on the national stage.
